Centrona Gas Reviews

I have been using Centrona for my 20 properties in the New Cross/Old Kent area. They are always on time, never any hassle and I access all my documents including gas safely certificates via their online system. I would like to thank Rachel so much who is always on hand to help

Very pleased with our new boiler installed today. The quality of work was excellent. The lads were professional, through, and explained everything clearly. The team made sure everything was tidy and left no mess result and will definitely use you again.

Superb service received from Centrona gas today on a new boiler installation. A company is only as good as the people it employs so a massive shout out to Ben who did some really professional work today. The boiler installation was a full days work and Ben took the utmost care and attention in what he was doing, the old pipework was disgraceful and ben has installed the new boiler and rerouted the pipework to near perfection. The job took longer than initially anticipated but its clear from watching Ben work that installations arent an exact science, there were numerous challenges which Ben overcame and the result speaks for itself. I know Ben had the option of resuming work the next day but he showed dedication to getting the job done in one hit because he knew how important it was for us, and the inconvenience it would have caused otherwise. What a trooper! a great asset to this company who takes pride in doing a good job and putting customers first, what more could you possibly ask for? Keep up the good work Ben and Centrona!

I have been a customer for many years and continue having a positive experience with Centrona Gas engineers. They are reliable, efficient and knowledgeable. They came to sort a fault with the boiler very quickly and explained what was happening. Very pleased with them, one feeks they care.

Took up the customer offer on the website and had my hot water repaired today. The technician did a good job to get it up and running again. So far very pleased with the boiler plan

Had another great piece of work done by Ben with fitting a new radiator in the front room. He did the job very professionally and cleared up all the mess and removed the old radiator and installed the new one and put everything back in the room. Thank you Ben and Centrona for excellent service.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Tom from Centrona Gas. Tom replaced our kitchen sink under the service expert plan we have with Centrona. Tom arrived promptly, worked hard, and installed our new deep pocket sink no time. What really stood out was his professionalism and the way he explained everything in simple terms. He even took the time to ensure everything was spotless before he left. Very happy with the service plan I have with Centrona.

Easy to use work with, good value and service

I cannot speak highly enough of Centrona Gas. We had an ongoing issue with our air conditioning unit that no one seemed able to fix, until Mike from Centrona Gas came along. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had it resolved within the hour. Mike was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. It’s so refreshing to deal with a company that genuinely cares about its customers. We'll definitely be sticking with Centrona Gas for all our future needs.

Superb service by Ben. No fuss, installed state of the art boiler with tado system. Liased with Tado directly to test and commission the boiler and control system.

I cannot speak highly enough of John from Centrona Gas for his outstanding service in addressing plumbing issues at my rental property in London. John was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, swiftly resolving maintenance issues that had been plaguing the flat. His communication skills were exemplary; he kept me informed at every step and handled interactions with my tenant professionally and courteously. Not only did John provide top-notch service, but he also offered competitive pricing that outshone other plumbing companies I've previously engaged. If you're seeking reliability, efficiency, and a fair price, John at Centrona Gas is your go-to professional. I highly recommend his services and will definitely be relying on him for any future plumbing needs.

Our boiler stopped working last night so I called this morning and spoke to Rachel who was very friendly and helpful. She organised one of the plumbers to be with me today. The plumber arrived within a few hours and managed to get the hot water back up and running. Very happy with the service.

Engineer arrived this afternoon to fix my leaking boiler. I called at 10 am this morning so I was very pleased you were able to schedule a visit within a few hours! I can tell you first hand John the engineer was very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I highly recommend this firm to anyone.

Exceptional gas boiler services. John and his team are extremely professional and dedicated tradesmen. We have used them twice now and both times we have been so impressed and grateful by their professionalism and attention to detail and customer service. We would highly recommend.

Centrona Gas provided a stellar boiler service. Communication with Rachel was prompt and the engineer was professional and friendly. We had a minor issue post-service, but they returned the next day and fixed it swiftly. Highly recommend!

Been having my boiler serviced and repaired with Centrona for 7 years now. They always respond quickly and resolve issues.

Truly outstanding company! They make sure to notify me when my boiler service is due, schedule the appointment quickly, and send a text when the engineer is on his way. Punctual as always, and is incredibly friendly and professional. The service certificate arrives almost immediately after the engineer leaves. I’ve had a contract with Centrona for 7 years and the monthly cost of the contract has only increased once in all that time, so it’s easy for budgeting. Highly recommend!

[Updated: The works have now been completed to my satisfaction. I have been offered an apology and a partial refund for the inconvenience. They have assured that this was an exceptional case, and this is not the standard of service that they strive to deliver.] I booked and paid up front for simple works (<0.5day) to my home in November. Despite multiple appointments (8) over the past 3.5 months, this work has not yet been completed. Engineer has not showed up once, I have had three visits where someone attended but couldn't finish the work because they didn't have parts / didn't have the necessary qualifications. Usually appointments are cancelled on the day, after I contact both the office and the engineer involved, so I have already missed work and rearranged my schedule. Excuses have included: engineer is sick, engineer is on leave, van is broken, parts not available (and have not been ordered). I am calling nearly daily now between trying to get resolution with the manager, main office and engineer in question. Despite being assured it will be resolved imminently (since January) I am still waiting and have been offered an appointment in two weeks time as they have no engineers available that can complete the work. I have made a formal complaint to the company which has not been responded to. I have also complained to CIPHE (but they are falsely advertising that they are members). So far they have offered refund of parts, but this isn't acceptable as I have also paid for labour. I would recommend avoiding booking at the moment, as there are clearly internal resourcing issues. As they require full payment up front, I would recommend using a credit card.

Centrona gas has been maintaining my boiler for the past 12 years. They are always available and on time. My boiler broke down last week - Centrona Gas were able to diagnose the issue quickly, offer me alternative solutions and eventually install a new boiler within two days. Very dependable company - and local as well.

John and his team did my job professionally, I have not complainants. I use them again.
