CAR FROM JAPAN Reviews

I was so skeptical about purchasing something like this internationally. Cars from Japan kept me totally informed with communication all throughout the process. I bought two with intentions to sell one. I doubt I will do that though. I can't decide between the two. What a great experience this has been. I will use this group again! Everything was as indicated.

I purchased a vehicle from Car From Japan and imported it myself. Ken was very helpful promptly providing information about the vehicle and sending documents as they were available. I picked up the vehicle from the port and it started right up. No mechanical issues, smooth idle, no leaks sitting in my driveway for several days. Cosmetically, it looked just like the pictures. I would do business with them again.

This truck is the best purchase I've ever made. Ms. Jun helped me the entire way from purchase to keys in hand. Everything went smoothly and the truck is as expected and super fun.

Great communication, very patient and professional.

I bought multiple times car from Japan. It is very safe and they make the process very easy and secure. Shout out to Ami for always being there throughout the whole buying process. Will continue buying from here

Professional, proactive and entirely trustworthy. CAR FROM JAPAN team helped me navigate the tricky process of importing an old overseas vehicle. They have a world class team that ensures your vehicle arrives safely, and work with you to ensure all proper forms are filled out. There’s so many affordable, beautiful cars out there. The Delica gets a lot of compliments. Note, there’s conflicting info out there about recent USA import duties rates. My understanding and experience is that personal vehicle imports are exempt.

Received my truck on Wednesday. Seamless shipping and delivery. It was as described. Mr Ken was awesome. This is the second vehicle I have purchased from him. If you are considering purchasing one of these, keep in mind that trucks are subject to 25% customs duties, no matter the size. Very pleased with the transaction

A1 service. Very professional and great communication throughout. Would highly recommend.

I ordered my 1998 Honda Acty from Car From Japan. Upon receiving the car, the photos were accurate, and I received exactly what I ordered. They were very helpful in getting the car to the US and quickly resolved issues before I even told them about it, even though it wasn't their fault (the shipping company was late on sending the arrival notice). I love my car and would 100% purchase a second car through Car From Japan. I love driving my Acty around town here in NJ, it's so little money for so much fun. It's a blast to drive around.

These people are amazing! Ms.Ami was with me 110% of the way though and helped me with any questions I had along the way. Not to mention how quickly I received updates and responses! This was my first time ever importing a car and I can say with confidence that carsfromjapan is THE place to get it from!

I had a great experience with Car From Japan. Everything from the paperwork to all the updates I received was perfect. The car I purchased well exceeded my expectations and was in great condition. Can’t wait to work with them again.

I bought a Landcruiser from Jun at car from Japan and they supplied me with a vehicle that was not available anywhere in Europe. It is absolutely like new. How someone can own a vehicle like that for 20 plus years and keep in that condition is incredible. I was nervous to send the funds but this company was an excellent partner and would definitely use again.

My experience was great! Car arrived in in a timely a manner and better condition then I expected. We will be using the them again in the future.

Buying from Car From Japan was great. I did about 2 weeks of research on the import process then I purchased a vehicle. Communication was 10/10, I was able to speak with my “representative” and get a response in less than 12 hours most of the time. Car arrived in better conditions other than a single coolant hose being damaged. Simple fix. 100% recommend.

Bought a vehicle from Ms. Jun and they provided me with all the paperwork needed to get the vehicle registered. The process was simple and easy to purchase a vehicle as well.

They scam people. They never delivered my car and never refund the money. STAY AWAY

I GOT RIPPED OFF FROM CARS FROM JAPAN! SOLD ME A CAR WITH UNDISCLOSED DAMAGES OR ROTTEN PARTS! DEALT WITH PHAN LAN AND MS. AMI! PURCHASED CAR FOR $10,000 USD, REACHED MY DESTINATION AND A/C NOT WORKING CARBURETOR MISSING AIR FILTER HOUSING, COMPLETED EXHAUST SYSTEM IS ROTTEN, FRONT GRILL AND BUMPER NOT ORIGINAL AND BOLTED ON WITH L-BRACKETS. SHOCKS COMPLETELY DEAD AND LEAKING OIL, ENGINE IS SMOKING AND NEEDS MAJOR ENGINE OVERHAUL! BUYERS BEWARE! THEY SENT ME A CARBURETOR AND $800, EXPECTING TO CALL IT EVEN! I HAVE A REPAIR ESTIMATE OF OVER $9000!!!

Communication was excellent, Ami worked with me ands was extremely helpful even though I kept changing my mind. Price was reasonable and the entire process was painless. My truck arrived last week and I’m impressed with the condition. Runs and looks great.

Sold me a car that needs a lot of work. I based my purchase on their auction rating which is 3.5 which is meant to be a driveable car with no damage. Car came with a broken side skirt broken A/C I believe the agent response to no A/C was “oh maybe you need to add gas”???? One of the tires is cracked so the car can’t even be registered or safetied in my state. I have to fix all this all in all a very negative experience won’t be buying again or recommending to friends. They promised a response from their supplier up until now nothing. Very upset and disappointed

I purchased a 1999 Toyota Century with 275,000 km. I still cannot believe this car is real The exterior is like a new car with almost no blemishes I can find. The windshield, chrome and bodywork is showroom ready. The interior looks like nobody has used the rear seats at all. The front seats and dash look like a car that is barely 2 years old. I simply cannot believe what I have for the money I paid. The process was simple and painless. The hardest part was dealing with Long Beach Port to actually get the car out!
