non-respect of their employees

non-respect of their employees, ultra cheap boots and shoes, the manager of Place St-Foy Verbally intimidates the employees as well as the customers. The Head office has been notified and no initiative on their part the said individual continues to harass others. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Loss Prevention department

Everyone that thinks of joining Loss Prevention department. 

 Unfortunately had a bad experience with Loss Prevention department manager while was working there. After spending many years in Security Industry and having strong Loss Prevention background I just want to say that I just met a lady who thinks she is the smartest and the best manager in the whole world. But it’s too good to be true… After joining and spending some time at Browns Fashion I have noticed that LP Manager is just very selfish trying to micromanage everyone (including staff members/cleaners), failing to give a feedback to the team, she had inability to be friendly and helpful, regular absence to work and leaving her team to work under high pressure, poor communication skills verbally and written, very weak security/LP background and not experienced, Over-reliance on employee self-management, Credit-stealing and more.. I could list many more but I think you all understood what I want to say. 
 Unfortunately I have to write this feedback here and warn you all. All other people working there starting from cleaners to other managers are really sweet and great to work with, the only problem we used to have it was her. If you still thinking of joining this department and you are ready of doing 3 people job, be underpaid (less than 28k/year) always be watched/micromanaged its your place! If not please avoid this shop and position.

Absolutely shocking service.

Absolutely shocking service. Returned an item to them , paid for the return postage. They are now saying they can’t track it so I have to pay for it even after proof of postage etc has been sent to them.I’ve spent lots with them over the years I will not anymore. Horrendous e mails of some guy in customer service. Will not purchase any more products from them.

I absolutely love this company!

I absolutely love this company. In August 2023, I purchased a pair of Versace shoes. After wearing them once, the sole of the shoe, which is glued...really Versace, gule???? slipped down about 1/2 inch, toward the toe box of the shoe. Anyway, I reached out the Browns and they immediately reached out to them via phone and the next day they contacted be via email. I sent photos and they took care of everything. It was wonderful to actually talk with a person. Their customer service is top notch and really care about us. I will be purchasing from them again. I had a wonderful customer experience.! Thank YOU Brown's Fashion!!!

Dreadful customer service

Dreadful customer service. Package was just dumped in doorstep (should have been signed for which was meat was paid for). No message to say it had been delivered so didn’t know it was there for two days. Items were marked and Browns offered no returns. Will never order again or recommend.

Superb meal at Browns Oxford

Superb meal at Browns Oxford and excellent service from Aurelia. The girls loved their steaks/linguine and I enjoyed the lamb rack. Desserts were great too especially the Eton Mess. Great menu choices, lovely drinks and very comfortable chairs. Thank you Browns

Terrible packaging! Lack of care!

Ordem number: 8JKPKL I bought a Balmain dress from browns online - expensive item! During the check out I have asked for the gift packaging/ browns box and the dress came in a paper envelope, the packaging arrived damaged/ripped and the dress wasn’t even folded in a plastic protector bag! The dress was exposed to dirty and dusty! The dress is dry cleaning only. The lack of care about the item made me extremely upset and disappointed!! How is it possible to send a item on such way?!? I will keep the dress as I liked it but I am no longer a browns customer.

The store staff are horrendous

The store staff are horrendous. God knows what the manager is like if this is how the staff are allowed to behave. You walk in like you’re walking into their home !!! No hello or greeting or asking for help … no knowledge of luxury or customer service or even the basic fundamentals of politeness! My worst store experience in a very long time.

Items missing, no refund

This was my second order from Brown’s and the first time I returned some items, includung a small key chain. I was not fully refunded because according to the warehouse the key chain was missing from the items in the box. I am 100% certain I put it in the box. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture as proof… So be very careful with your returns! Staff in the warehouse is either careless or dishonest. I had extensive contact with their “customer services” team about this issue, but no success. Will never order again.

I guess it is fair to give a third positive review if the service of the e-shop just keeps getting better. One again a great product, great price, and next-day delivery, which I didn't even expect. Keep up!

Poor after sales

Poor after sales experience. Bought an expensive pair of Chloe espadrilles which arrived in decent time and well packaged in mid may 2023. Loved the shoes and have been wearing them for the last few weeks. I suddenly noticed over the weekend that the stitching to the back seam is coming apart. I’m devastated. Not only because the shoes are so new but also because it looks noticeable and it will probably happen to the other seams. Also I was wanting to wear these on holiday etc. This is clearly a manufacturing fault, contacted Browns who asked for detailed photos of both shoes and have decided from this that it is wear and tear and not manufacturing. They have offered £20 refund. I have had quotes from specialist repair companies of £75 and up to repair the stitching, Browns are not interested. I have asked do they have a recommended repair company that I could use, they never provided an answer. They just want to pay the £20 and close the case. I want Chloe informed that their very expensive shoes are not fit for purpose and browns advised me they wouldn’t help me either because the sale was through browns and not Chloe directly. So I’m stuck with a £400 pair of faulty shoes that I now can’t wear and have to pay through the nose to repair. And that will probably develop further stitching issues. I would have expected an easier way to resolve this though I guess it’s very much a buyer beware scenario. I wouldn’t recommend the shoes or the retailer

Great packaging. Poor quality control.

The jacket I ordered was dispatched quickly and came impeccably packaged but I noticed a few weeks after buying that there are a few untidy bits of stitching and a very poorly trimmed part of fabric on the arm, unfortunately by the time I noticed this my size had sold out so I wouldn't have been able to exchange. I understand this is more the fault of the manufacturer but I'm surprised the faults weren't noticed by the retailer.

I wouldn’t recommend this company at…

I wouldn’t recommend this company at all. I ordered a binibamba pram liner that arrived faulty. There were some marks to the back but the main issue was the stitching was unravelling making the item completely unusable. I sent the item back for a refund and was shocked to discover they don’t fully refund shipping costs, that were rather hefty at £8 for a light item. In my experience companies always reimburse shipping costs for faulty items. It’s not the customers fault they were sent a faulty item, the company should have some quality control procedure before shipping out items. It’s completely unfair that a customer loses out financially when the company are at fault. Be warned it will cost you if you receive a faulty or damaged item.

Faulty goods. Dishonest, patchy emails. Breaking UK consumer law.

Bought several Brinker & Eliza jewellery pieces – all faulty.* CS booked collection at the wrong time, then didn't reply to follow up emails, and took weeks to reply to reminders. Acknowledged faults but did not agree to a return, despite me setting out terms and timeline of UK consumer law, and full proof. Lied in emails about their past emails – despite me having a past record. Eventually stopped replying entirely. Horrid, horrid, gaslighting experience – so dishonest, low grade and disappointing. Love the curation at Browns but can't bring myself to shop their again due to law-breaking customer service. *Two Completedwords jewellery pieces in the same order also arrived heavily tarnished. I contacted the brand directly, who kindly replaced these for me in just a matter of weeks. It seems Browns were using their Sale to offload faulty goods, with no thought for their customers. Sadly, I didn't have the same luck with the Brinker & Eliza pieces, since I had to deal with Browns directly. Just horrible service – I can't believe they get away with flouting UK consumer law in this way.
