When we arrived on Monday the sink was broken, the oven wouldn’t turn on, there was a wet patch of carpet in one of the bedrooms, the refrigerator did not have any shelves or light, the lights above the sink and in the master bedroom were burnt, a few plug ins did not work, and there were flies everywhere.
The sink was fixed Monday afternoon and a loud, bulky, industrial sized blower was provided for the wet carpet.
The oven was finally fixed Tuesday afternoon after being reported twice to the front desk. We were not able to fix dinner Monday night or breakfast Tuesday morning as planned. The carpet is still wet. Bugs are still flying. Lights are still out. Plug in’s still not working.
Wednesday morning at approximately 2:30am we realize the unit is flooding. The carpet in the bedroom is soaked, water is pooling into the living room, two suitcases of clothing are now wet, and the rugs in the living room are soaked. Notify front desk immediately and maintenance is sent up with a shopvac and towels to clean the mess. We are unable to locate the source of the leak and are up until 4am trying to dry and clean the mess.
Wednesday afternoon a different maintenance person and a manager come up to the room to inspect and look for the source of the leak. Nothing is found. Carpet is still wet. Bugs are still flying. Lights are still out. Plug in’s still not working.
Thursday the carpet is still wet and is starting to smell. Bugs are still flying. Lights are still out. Plug in’s still not working.
Friday morning I email Brett Robinson after not hearing any feedback from the front desk for all of issues. The only reply I get is that it’ll be directed to the correct department, never heard from again. The carpet is still wet and continues to smell. Bugs are still flying. Lights are still out. Plug in’s still not working.
Saturday we pack up and leave. We call Brett Robinson and ask to speak with someone regarding this nonsense of a stay. She returns our call, apologizing and offering a 20% discount. It 100% does not make up for the troubles we dealt with throughout the stay, but at this point we accept and promise ourselves NEVER AGAIN!
