We've had ours 2.5 years and only recently needed an engineer to come out (as the filter replacement is so easy). Our engineer was superb - quick, efficient, friendly, very clean and tidy.
Bibo are missing a trick with current customers - offer a friends and family discount (10%) on new sign ups from a current customer. Then current customer gets a free filter replacement - or something.
These reviews are helpful, but only if you're directing traffic the right way to your product. SPEND MORE MONEY ON MARKETING!!!
It's a bloody brilliant machine - just needs to be a touch higher to get a Chilly's water bottle stood underneath the spout! (tiny detail)
I absolutely love this machine! Itβs fantastic. The hot water is perfectly for hot drinks. I donβt even miss my kettle anymore! It looks perfect in my kitchen. From the easy purchase to the expert installation by the engineer, everything went smoothly. Customer service was brilliant. The engineer was incredibly skilled and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this! ππ½
I reported a problem with the water flow on my 3-year-old BIBO. Some suggestions were given of possible cures. I was offered the visit of an engineer if the suggestions did not solve the problem. I took up the offer of the engineer visit, at a reasonable cost. The engineer was very efficient and knowledgable, curing the problem.

Since investing in a Bibo water machine 5 or 6 years ago I have the pleasure of drinking chilled purified water meaning I no longer drink water from the tap. I even have a SodaStream so that I have sparkling water always available. I've never bought bottled water since it arrived!
The boiling water for my tea constantly available, without the "scum" from tap water making tea less "tainted" by the taste of tap water.
Buy one, you will not be disappointed!
We live in a hard water area where tap water is not particularly pleasant to drink. We used bottled water to overcome this. We have had our BIBO Classic machine since 2015. During that time we have enjoyed both hot and cold drinking water and no longer buy bottled water. The BIBO system was an affordable solution to our drinking hard water problem. Backed up by regular supply of filters and cleaning materials there was no worry of running out of filters and ensured that our BIBO machine maintained the quality of our drinking water.
Over the years we have, occasionally, contacted customer services. We have always had helpful and efficient advice to quickly rectify the situation.
We have no hesitation in recommending the product and customer services.
Firstly, I must explain that I am a director of a company that specialises in water quality, in particular, bacteriological contamination of water. We've had our BIBO for nearly 2 years and would not be without it. Having looked at the BIBO versus the Virgin unit and tap devices I decided on the BIBO. I really like the carbon filtration system with easily replaceable cartridges (filters metals and other particles in the water). When paired with the BIBO's integrated UV (Ultra Violet) filter (which helps eradicate micro-organisms) they combine to surpass the quality of potable water from the kitchen tap. I have independently tested the water directly from the BIBO and compared it with potable water from my kitchen tap using samples that were tested by a UKAS accredited UK laboratory. The BIBO's water was superior.
Water dispensed from the BIBO tastes great and we use ours for dispensing:
a) Chilled water (we have our set to 4 degrees Celcius) for cold drinks.
b) Lukewarm water (great to make choculate drinks for the young children that they can drink straight away.
c) Tea and coffee and the perfect temperature we set.
d) Easily fill a saucepan with boiling water to make pasta, rice etc.
I have seen a number of poor reviews but if reading these be mindful that 'perhaps' these reviewers may not have maintained their BIBO in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. For example, the BIBO's filters, UV lamp do need to be changed over every 6 months of so, and the hot tank needs descaling. If people fail to do these things at the time they are required then the BIBO could develop faults (just like any complex electronic device).
We have been very impressed overall and the customer service from BIBO has been excellent throughout, Particularly Poppy and April.
I'd recommend you consider leasing your BIBO rather than buying it (that's what we've done) as the cost difference isn't that great but you benefit from free consumables and fast repairs should there be a fault. If the unit cant be repaired then BIBO replaces it for free under this leasing program.
Same Bibo Machine for over 5 Years - ...and still going!
We've had a Bibo Water Machine (Same Machine) for over 5 years and think it is absolutely fantastic. We did have an issue once (which was a little techincal), however the support team are so helpful and guided me on how to repair it. Plus, it is such a slick and stylish machine we did not need a fitted hot water tap in our new kitchen (as this looked better).
I am confident we will stay with Bibo for the next 10 years!
We had our Bibo since September and everything was fine and we loved tge dispenser however, it developed a fault with the dispensing controls and was posted to Bibo to investigate. Some days later, I contacted Bibo and spoke with Poppy. She informed me that there was no fix for this as yet so we would just need to stop the flow with another button. I hacked further questions regarding a replacement machine and was told by Poppy that she would speak to her manager. Poppy forgot to mute the call and during the conversation with her manager called me "a pompous t**t!". Oh dear me......... We have now cancelled our contract. What a shame Bibo!
So 55% rate the water dispenser poor or bad, and 44% average or good. Why this clear diversity of opinion with more against than for? Looks like a marmite situation, either it's liked or, well, hated really. Almost like it's not the same product being evaluated. Well, as you can see by my rating above, I'm unfortunately in the latter camp. Had high hopes, sounded just fantastic, fresh, pure filtered cold and hot water on tap, what more could you want. Hmm, reality different. Since having it professionally installed have never enjoyed a cup of tea or coffee, and previously loved my tea and coffees. Taste just not right, have never been able to finish a mug full, it's just not delicious as when made with fridge filtered water. Today I decided to make my coffee the traditional way in case it was my taste or the coffee, but no, have just enjoyed the most delicious mug coffee, draining the mug greedily in a minute. The contrast with Bibo water could not be more pronounced. Looking forward to my pot of tea tonight made with proper water. The cold water too is a disappointment, apart from the taste it is just not cold enough at 4Β°. I drink fridge water just above freezing, about 1 or 2 degrees and find this ideal. Bibo water at its lowest setting of 4Β° is almost tepid and that combined with the taste is a total shambles. Even potatoes boiled in Bibo water do not taste right. So unfortunately I have a smart looking but basically almost useless bit of kit in my work top. But it intrigues me that some love it, are we reviewing the same product with the same characteristics and specifications? The statistics show more people hate it though, interesting.
July. Well, had the facility some months now, and conclude it is just a matter of taste. Some do get on with it. But I find the taste of the water is not right and the hot is not hot enough and the cold is not cold enough. And irritating frequent noise. But it does have its uses in washing rice, pasta etc and heating pots. But those that do like it find it very convenient and yes, they love it! So marmite is definitely the word!
19 July. Would recommend renting before committing hundreds of pounds in purchase, to see if it is for you. Think an appropriate saying here for many may be "act in haste, repent at leisure".
Your company and customer service is absolutely abysmal!! Machine came on automatically and soaked my kitchen and counter!! Your customer service was totally cold and uninterested in my genuine complaint and upset!! Iβd avoid BIBO like the plague.
We have Bibo fizz and I ordered a couple of replacement CO2 cylinders. The next day I got a email to say that unfortunately they were out of stock but was told when I would get them. Bibo have kept me up-to-date all along. Given the current circumstances I can understand that supply chains are difficult - to have such clear and timely updates from Bibo is really good customer service.
My Bibo Bar has finally given up after 4 1/2 years service and is off to recycling centre. This machine has been eating money since I had it. Filter and cleaning costs, Β£100 call out fee to fix leaks and replace filter head. The hot water tank seal perished and to cap it all it started causing fuse box to trip out every time it went to boil up. On inspection inside, rust and sitting water around electrics so has to go. Expected to last a lot longer.
