Excellent staff- nothing is too much trouble. Mostly bilingual, easy to communicate. Could do with some English TV channels Wifi is unreliable.
The staff was exceptional. Including, but not limited to: Werner, Reception staff, waiters, bartenders, ship’s crew, kitchen staff and chef, people who cleaned our cabin and the team that brought us drinks.
Era la nostra prima volta a bordo di una crociera fluviale, e fin dall'inizio, siamo stati accolti da un'atmosfera di calore e cordialità. La partenza e il ritorno a Vienna hanno aggiunto un tocco di magia, con questa affascinante città che ha servito da perfetto trampolino di lancio per il nostro viaggio. La crociera ci ha offerto una duplice gioia: l'opportunità di scoprire città affascinanti lungo il percorso e di ammirare la bellezza del paesaggio circostante durante la navigazione. Le soste nelle città ci hanno permesso di immergerci nella cultura e nella storia di luoghi che ci erano sconosciuti. Le escursioni organizzate ci hanno guidato attraverso stradine pittoresche, piazze animate e monumenti storici, arricchendo la nostra comprensione di questa affascinante regione. Durante le ore di navigazione, ci siamo semplicemente seduti sul ponte superiore, ammirando il Danubio che scorreva placidamente, costeggiato da colline verdi e pittoreschi villaggi. Questi momenti di serena contemplazione sono diventati alcune delle memorie più preziose del viaggio. Il cuore di questa esperienza è stato sicuramente il personale di bordo. L'equipaggio si è distinto per la loro gentilezza e attenzione alle nostre esigenze. Anche quando erano impegnati nella navigazione o in altre attività, il loro sorriso e la loro professionalità non sono mai svaniti. Questo contributo ha reso ogni istante a bordo davvero speciale. Le cabine e gli spazi comuni erano tenuti in uno stato impeccabile. La pulizia quotidiana e la cura per i dettagli hanno reso il nostro soggiorno estremamente confortevole. Infine, non posso non menzionare il buffet. Una varietà di piatti adatta a tutti i gusti, sempre abbondante e appetitoso, ha contribuito a mantenere alto il nostro spirito e la nostra energia per tutta la durata della crociera. In sintesi, la nostra crociera fluviale lungo il Danubio è stata una vacanza molto bella. Dalle città affascinanti al paesaggio incantevole, dal personale premuroso al comfort impeccabile, ogni aspetto di questa esperienza è stato perfetto. Consiglio vivamente a chiunque voglia immergersi in un'avventura rilassante e affascinante di considerare una crociera fluviale come questa. Sarà un ricordo che porteremo con noi per sempre.
Als langjährige A-Rosa Liebhaber und A-Rosa Vielfahrer sind wir absolut enttäuscht über die aktuelle Entwicklung. Bei der Marke A-Rosa scheint das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis voll aus den "Fugen geraten". Es werden Preise von über 500,00 €/Übernachtung (für 2 Pers. im Premium tatsächlich über 4.800 Eur gezahlt, wobei die Reise über die Zeit immer wieder „auf das Billigste verramscht wurde“) aufgerufen und mittlerweile Leistungen (auf Detailebene) angeboten, bei denen eine Pension im Niedrigpreissegment mehr bietet. Die sich über die Jahre entwickelten „negativen Restaurantzeiten“ haben nun das MINIMUM erreicht, was sich in endlosen Schlangen und Unruhe bei den Mahlzeiten zeigt, nicht so zu erwarten in einem entspannten Urlaub. Das Speisenangebot ist dem Preis entsprechend bei weitem nicht (mehr) angemessen. Der Zustand des Schiffes (außen sowie diverse Bereiche) sowie die Kabinenausstattung (verwahrloster Fernseher mit "Billig-Lautsprecher") lassen das Herz eines A-Rosa Freundes "bluten". Die Floskel, „die Schiffe werden während der Wintermonate gewartet und erneuert“, scheint auch wirklich nur die selbige zu sein. So lassen sich schwerlich Stammkunden halten. Der Service und das Personal auf der Reise waren erwartungsgemäß kompetent, freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Vielen Dank dafür an alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter, die wenigstens diesen Teil positiv gemacht haben. Die nicht wirklich umfänglich erklärten Routenänderungen nervten schon sehr, ein Kapitän tatsächlich während der gesamten Reise nicht einmal gesehen (weder bei der Gästebegrüßung noch dem Verabschiedungsabend). Es blieb am Hotelpersonal „hängen“, diese Zustände den Gästen mit „wohlwollenden Worten“ zu plausibilisieren - sehr befremdlich. Fazit: Man muß diese durchaus sichtbare Qulitätsverschlechterung schon mögen. Wir werden nach über 20 Jahren A-Rosa (incl. Hochsee) der Marke vorerst kein Vertrauen mehr schenken - schweren Herzens. Nie Mehr Arosa!!!!! all Inklusive Premium entspricht nicht dem Preis im geringsten. Schon Morgens keine, oder kleine Aufbackwaren. Brötchen waren hart und trocken. Mittags und Abends lange Schlangen am Buffet weil der Koch zu langsam war, das Speisenangebot hatte nichts mit dem angepriesenem Gourment-Buffet zu tun, außerdem war der Küchenchef kaum der deutschen Sprache mächtig. Er hatte in Wien Kaiserschmarren auf der Speisenkarte diese waren so wenig das viele Gäste leer ausgingen, ich bat den Küchenchef nochmals welche anzufertigen was er aber ablehnte obwohl noch ein halbe Stunde das Gourmet-Buffet geöffnet war. Außerdem nur ein Minimales Nachtischangebot das nicht nachgefüllt wurde. Die schlechten Bewertungen der Küche von anderen Kreuzfahrer kann ich nur bestätigen. Wir waren auf der DONNA , und vorher auf der SENA wo gerade das Gegenteil von der Küche geboten wurde, warum ??? Auf meine Reklamation hat sich Arosa nicht gemeldet.
Diesel exhaust gases from the Generators and loud noises in every harbor outside and inside from the ship (even in the cabin). Not possible to enjoy the evening outside on Deck because of connected ships on the Arosa with also loud running and stinking Dieselgenerators. Windowview also blocked from other ships. To do it better, use more Open harbor spaces, use country electricity to stop the Dieselgenerators when parked in the harbor. Change the Exhaust position if parked und a Block with 2 ships, even if it means to Change a complete ship position and take care of the wind direction.
Hello Dear Readers, I just want to share to you our best days by Arosa Donna Cruise tour. All we can say, we had an amazing, unforgetable experienced. We had a comfortable, very clean cabin. The Stuffs and Cabin Crew they were so friendly. Wir würden gerne weiter empfehlen.
Departure date July 15, 2023: It was a wonderful experience on the A Rosa Mia river cruise ship along the Danube! Everything was excellently organized, and 99% of the staff was fantastic. I would especially like to thank the hotel manager, Jan, for his attentive and professional behavior. The excursion manager also did an excellent job with his expert explanations and organizational skills. The cabins were comfortable and clean. However, I would like to share some tips and suggestions. As a company, you should introduce a shared tipping pool and distribute the tips evenly among all the staff. A tipping pool in the restaurant is fairer than individual rewards. This way, everyone's hard work is recognized fairly, and situations are avoided where some employees may be overly friendly to receive more tips than others who quietly excel in their work. Another tip relates to the onboard entertainment. There is a lot of potential to enhance the experience with movie nights, parties, happy hours, great playlists, and live music. Currently, there was only one musician occasionally playing along with songs on his saxophone and playing music via the internet. Finally, concerning the food, it would be nice to have sufficient meat-free alternatives available at all meals. This is a simple adjustment that caters to various dietary preferences. The ship, cabin, staff, food, beverages and excursions were very good. The ship and rooms were very clean and well maintained. It was very relaxing. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I think more can be done for English speaking guests, but overall it was a very pleasant experience.

Ship is still in great shape , all the staff is professional and really very kind . The atmosphere is relaxed and easy . The best for us . Only the berthing choose,in this Rhine and Mosel cruise was difficulg to understand , with so many nice places to stop we were twice docked almost in nothing . Cabins are perfect . Available e- bykes also . Food even too much . Maybe better less but better cared . This cruise was all inclusive . I do not drink alchool , but i guess must people loved it . Overall a good experience .
De Donau-cruise was een fantastische reis-ervaring. Alles was top, het schip Arosa Riva, ontvangst, mooie kamer met frans-balkon (heerlijk om privé het landschap voorbij te zien glijden). Uitstekende kwaliteit, gevarieerd en vers bereide buffetten. 24/7 mag je zelf koffie/thee/water pakken. Vriendelijke staf/personeel. Uitgebreide excursie-mogelijkheden, echter ook heerlijk om met z'n 2-en Wenen, Budapest en Bratislava te bezoeken. Avondentertainment in de lounge is basic, voor ons geen gemis. Vooral genoten van het varen en de doorgang van de sluizen, elke keer weer leuk. Kortom het was een TOP-vakantie.

Wir haben uns an Bord sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal hat uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Das Essen war abwechslungsreich und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Nun ein paar Anmerkungen für Verbesserungen: Da ich des Nachts ein Beatmungsgerät benötige wäre eine normale Steckdose neben dem Bett sehr hilfreich. Da ich ein Verlängerungskabel vorsichtshalber dabei hatte konnte ich das Beatmungsgerät benutzen. In einer Schublade war ein Föhn untergebracht (sehr gute Lösung). In der zweiten Schublade hätte man ein Kühlfach installieren, um Medikamente (Insulin)kühl lagern zu können. Beim Wasserspender im Flur konnte man bei gedimmtem Licht nicht die Bedientasten erkennen. Auf dem Sonnendeck vorn (4 Ebene) wurden die Polster der Sitzmöbel bei einer Schleusendurchfahrt völlig durchnässt. Diese konnte man erst ein Tag später zum Sitzen wieder benutzen. Da ich gerne ein gutes Buch zum Lesen mitnehme ist mir aufgefallen, dass in der Longe keine einzige Leselampe vorhanden war. Im Speisesaal waren ein paar Sessel aufgestellt, bei denen man große Probleme hatte, um aufstehen zu können. Ein Kellner bemerkte bei uns dieses Problem und half uns zu einem anderen Sitzplatz.

First time we joined ARosa River Cruise. Our experienced with the service were not as good as the other Cruise line! My wife ordered drinks and two wrong, other forgotten on several occasions.. Surly attitude from Head Waiter...never smiled. On climbing into my bed it collapsed! New one rushed from somewhere.
Essen - geschmacksneutral und mit viel Liebstöckel im Abgang, Rosé ok, Rotwein geht so, Brot / Brötchen Luft nach oben, teils sehr feucht und nur Aufbackware. Beilagen und Salate, manchmal gut, meistens nicht. Qualität eher gehobene Mensa. Leider wird überhaupt nicht auf die Benutzung der Desinfektionsgeräte vor den Restaurants geachtet. Der danebenstehende Mensch ist meist in einem Schwatz mit anderen vertieft und dies obwohl Magen/Darm die Runde macht. Apotheke an Bord? Gibt es nicht. Also Leute - Durchfallmittel mitnehmen, Hände desinfizieren und vorsichtig sein. Es ist nicht das andere Essen oder der Wetterwechsel sondern Magen/Darm, vielleicht Noro? Denn das pausenlose Wischen der Treppengeländer mit Desinfektionsmittel passiert ja nicht mal eben so. Ausflüge - überteuert. Für Etretat 1 Stunde Zeit bei Anreise per Bus von mehr als 1 Stunde. Liegeplatz in St. Denis - 15 Minuten zur nächsten Metro. Der Gipfel jedoch - Buchungsende für Ausflüge Tag 2 20h. Sollten Sie nicht teilnehmen können (Krankheit) Pech gehabt, Geld ist futsch. Fazit - besser mit einem Schweizer Unternehmen fahren
We booked Alva Rose Douro Valley cruise with Hays Travel and was not advised this cruise is predominantly catered for German speaking guests. We were the only two UK guests on board. Senior management on board were very surprised that we had not been informed that this is always predominantly a German cruise. We felt we were totally disadvantaged. All announcements and excursions were very lengthy and in depth description in German followed by a few words in English. On one occasion, our tour guide admitted there was not enough time for any English explanation. We felt totally isolated during the whole cruise. Holidays are usually about talking to and making friendships with fellow guests and this was impossible. Be warned if booking in UK.
