Excellent Service
I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.

Fabulous boat, wonderfull holiday.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

All the staff were excellent - only one issue for you to address
All the staff were excellent and speedy in answering requests. Most of the trips were good too. The food on the first of the trips where it included lunch was not up to APTβs usual standard. My only issue where I feel you could have been a lot better was on the last day. Dozens of guests milling about the ship but only two toilets available. May I suggest that you designate 3 or 4 cabins where the guests could go without the tedium of having to queue.

Enjoyable, interesting and relaxing tour
We really enjoyed the whole experience which was made very easy from the free taxi to the airport and the efficient transfers. The riverboat, AmaVenito was really lovely and luxurious. There were only 88 passengers ( capacity is twice that) which meant that it was very uncrowded. The cabin was very comfortable indeed, lovely bed, very hot water, super shower etc. All the staff were really exceptionally helpful and friendly, and very genuine. The company treats them very well. We had fantastic food ( so much available (including the Chef's table taster menu twice), and a wide variety of drinks and entertainment was provided too. The section of the Danube we sailed, from Budapest to Romania and back, has some very scenic sections passing through the Iron Gates gorge, and we went on many excellent excursions all included, with different choices available. They were all great, well organised and interesting. I take a mobility scooter for excursions and this was no problem at all. The Cruise Director and staff were very helpful, and the kitchen was keen to accommodate all kinds of dietary needs. It was a very enjoyable trip, with interesting and friendly fellow passengers. Highly recommended!

The River Cruise through the Balkansβ¦
The River Cruise through the Balkans was brilliant. The ship was so comfortable and the staff were so attentive pleasant and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The food excellent. The trips were very well chosen, but we were given SO much history you could not remember anything, a little free time would have been appreciated. In all it was a wonderful holiday.

Impressive tour of some First World War battlefields
We were impressed by the thoroughness of the the tour director's briefing each day for the whole two weeks of the Western Front Explorer; the knowledge of the local guides about their locality; the quality of the food, choice, and friendliness of the staff; and the musical entertainment every evening. APT's choice of river/canal route and sights to visit in the Netherlands was extremely good, as were the battlefield tours to Belgium and France.

More than we expected
All inclusive did even more than promised. Outstanding food and genuine interest in our needs. Cruise director anticipated issues to make sure we saw the best sights. Range of included local tours had outstanding guides. We learned huge amounts in a short time. For most of the time even the weather was better than expected

The boat is very comfortable without being too lavish. The variety of menus and food service was excellent. The extra excursions were reasonable priced and the included excursions were varied and interesting. All the staff were efficient and helpful.

Only 49 passengers onboard so plenty ofβ¦
Only 49 passengers onboard so plenty of space. Plus a half price offer although in a very small Piano cabin, but as this was the Western Front tour we spent most days alongside so didnβt need a Balcony. Our tour guide was the best, nothing too much trouble. Well done Anya.

Great cruise but APT don't care about customer service
The river cruise itself was fabulous. Great ship, good food, loved the atmosphere and we were so lucky with the weather. However this was a package and where APT fell down were the awful hotel in Nuremberg and using a suicidal driver who thought it was clever to scroll through his WhatsApp and take photos at 95mph on the German autobahn. I did email and complained about these two things and had no response at all so clearly APT do not rate customer service very highly and therefore I have marked them down to 3 stars. It's not just about the river cruise - it's the whole APT experience!
