I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

Wow. What a wonderful holiday. 49 passengers on board. Couldnβt fault a thing. Looked after from start to finish. Nothing too much trouble. The staff always very friendly. Great service from all concerned. From the canals of Amsterdam, to the battlefields of the Somme, to the Flood Barriers of Veere in the Netherlands. It was both wonderful and emotional at times. The ceremony at Tyne Cot cemetery on Remembrance Day is something I will remember for ever.

My husband and I have just returned from our tour of Egypt, Jordan and Israel with Travel Marvel. This was a tour full of fantastic experiences, seeing the most amazing sights with 3 of the best local guides. I would recommend this tour of a lifetime to any FIT person. There were a few early morning starts and a lot of walking involved. The hotels were all 4β with very friendly and helpful staff. However, having been on APT and Travel Marvel River cruises in the past, we were disappointed with the cruise on The Nile on MS Royal Lotus in comparison. The quality of the food did not match the quality of Cairo hotel meals. Having experienced fine dining on board boats in countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar, this was slightly unexpected. Also there was a charge for water at the table as it was listed as 'soft drinks'. There was plenty of bottled water in the cabins so many guests took it down to dinner. The interior of MS Royal Lilly seemed to be more regal, which was the boat mentioned in the itinerary when we booked. The Egyptian Night on board was a great success and lots of fun! We were a group of 16 in Cairo, 10 in Jordan and 6 in Israel. We were the first group to visit Israel. There is no need whatsoever to be apprehensive about visiting Jerusalem or Tel Aviv. I felt far safer walking the streets in Egypt, Jordan and Israel than I do walking the streets in some of the towns in the UK at times. It is a beautiful country full of interesting history and beautiful scenery. The experience of sharing Shabbat with a Jewish family was very humbling. We were made very welcome with some excellent homemade cooking. Constructive Criticism: 1. Crossing the border from Jordan to Israel needs the presence of a guide, if possible, to assist with the procedure instead of being left to fend for ourselves, OR clear instructions as what to do regarding cases going through security. 2. It would be better if the group had arrived on the Sabbath ( Saturday) and not the Friday. The resteraunt in the hotel was full on this evening and not many eateries were open due to them not cooking from Friday at 5 o'clock until 5 o'clock on Saturday. Shops are also closed during this period. 3. It would be a good idea for Travel Marvel to give tourists a list of 3 or 4 resteraunts with directions when dinners are NOT included. As a group we had difficulty in locating acceptable eateries Even with room for a few adjustments to the itinerary, I have given this tour 5 stars because it was absolutely magnificent led by very knowledgeable guides, so many highlights in all the 3 countries! Thank you Travel Marvel.

APT Travelmarvel gave first class service from booking to delivery. Cruise ship Polaris, along with Vega which we sailed on previously, are excellent vessels with high standards with friendly and efficient crew/staff and very clean and comfortable throughout. Ports of call and excursions were very good.

Overall the trip was very interesting and well organized. However, we feel that a complaint is in order regarding 2 points : 1. The confirmation stated that we would board the Royal Lily ( which recently had been completely refurbished) but without any notice from your end, we were accommodated on the Royal Lotus which appeared to be a lower category. All the other group members had also been booked on the Royal Lily and were accommodated on the Rotal Lotus. They no doubt will write to you separately. 2. The last day of the itinerary (Friday )states clearly that we would visit the High Dam and the Philea Temple before flying to Cairo for our connecting flight to London. This is just not possible as the only flights back to Cairo from Aswan are early in the morning. It is essential to take these flights as there are no later flights! So you should be more accurate in describing the last day as we ended up with an 8 hour wait at Cairo Airport. Both the Dam and the Temple were now included in a very busy program on the Thursday. Big compliments for the guide Nermeen and the local incoming touroperator South Sinai Travel

This was our second trip with travel marvel and nearly all the minor problems encountered on our first trip (the maiden voyage of the Vega) were solved. The cabin was spacious with excellent beds, really well serviced (we found the fridge very useful) The food was of the same high quality as our first trip, well presented and efficiently served by friendly waiting staff. The excursions were good value, with the Bratislava trip worth the money just for the guide! We could not fault the travel rep, he was a mine of information and ensured that we were always well informed of the shape of the day ahead. The change of ship due to low water was managed well and was almost seamless (the passengers fizz for the (new) captains welcome was forgotten!) We fully intend to use Travel Marvel again.
