I cannot fault the service I received from Rachel Mack. She went that extra mile to ensure that she was able to offer me exactly what I wanted from my river cruise choice. I had many questions and requirements which she dealt with in a friendly, helpful manner whilst remaining professional at all times. It was a pleasure to deal with her, she is a credit to APT.
Very high quality fabulous cruise.
Fabulous boat, immaculately maintained, excellent ports of call, enthusiastic and informative Tour Director, plenty of food and drink, ( though served by less than enthusiastic staff, no eye contact, little rapport ). Overall, an exceptionally good trip. We would strongly recommend APT to anyone considering a small motor yacht cruise.,

New Zealand is an amazing experience in itself. Tour director kept us well informed and the tour well organised. Options she created for additional activities very much appreciated and greatly added to the experience. Very well done. Bus driver very efficient, safe, comfortable driving and helped with travel tour information. Director and driver worked well as a team. Queenstown hotel below par, especially food, and just a late afternoon plus one night, plus a poor dinner was not adequate for Wellington. The capital city deserves at least 2 nights.

I simply can’t find fault with any aspect of the cruise! Every member of staff delivered perfect customer service. Organisation of excursions, arrival/departures etc ran like a Swiss watch. Food exemplary…If I had to cruise to heaven this would be the trip!

Very enjoyable trip despite the weather at the beginning. We feel you should introduce a system whereby customers sign for drinks when they order them other than during meal times. This would avoid ending up with a large bill at the end of the trip that you have no means of checking whether it is correct or not.

What a wonderful experience,,, We'd been on a few sea cruises, and enjoyed them immensely, but this was our first river cruise. NOT DISAPPOINTED !! This was with APT/TravelMarvel sailing from Amsterdam to Budapest on a 14 night / 15 day holiday. Excellent customer care from all on board and from the several guides who took us around the many towns and places of interest during the holiday. Met at AMS airport and taken by S Class Marc to the ship. Excellent start. Food on board is excellent - great buffet breakfast, wide variety of hot and cold delights and lovely omelette maker... she did great job! Waiting staff very helpful, attentive and friendly. Most guests chose main dining room, waiter service, for lunch and dinner - with wine / beer / soft drinks included. Open buffet for appetiser then three further courses. Good variety and not one meal disappointed. Beautifully presented, tasty - a real credit to catering staff. Alternative venues for lunch and dinner were the lovely, snug, bijou Irish Bar at the back of the ship. Irish,,, after the founder of APT, I believe. Limited range here but all good. Third option was light buffet in the lounge. All options with the inclusive drinks. The journey took us up the Rhine, through numerous delightful towns though Netherlands and Germany and into Austria too, including Passau, Nuremberg, Melk and Vienna with Budapest on the Danube as final stop. All fascinating places with included walking tours at every one - several with short bus ride to get from ship to the place of interest. Some other excursions at extra cost, including visit to Saltsberg and Bratislava. Pre dinner information about the next day by Andrew, the Tour Manager. Really knowledgeable about all aspects of the cruise and the locations and the history. No hard sell for the extra cost options. What a professional, informative and accessible man. If you've not experienced a river cruise, or you've had river cruise elsewhere, then I absolutely recommend you give this a try. Our cruise was 14n but shorter, and longer ones are also available. The ship itself is lovely. High quality throughout, only a year old - I believe. Comfortable big bed. No balconies, but on decks 2 and 3 the cabins had floor to ceiling windows, with the top part dropping down, via simple switch / electric motors. So you get fresh air and open feeling. With a balcony, you'd be losing space in your cabin and we felt the extra cabin space was better option. With all modern ships on the river being the same size - there's only a few centimetres at each side in some of the locks, the space in the ships must be almost identical, but balconies will take away cabin space. It's up to you, of course. Great fun, too, with some really low bridges,,, with the railings on the sun deck dropped down, all the loungers and 'gazebos' being laid flat. And the captain's wheel house drops by a metre or more, so the ship can go under the very low bridges, with about 150 cm spare and captain's head peeping out of top of wheelhouse to check things. No standing up. And pedal bikes available to use, too. And some great music every night, easy going. And a Bavarian Night's entertainment with local musicians. A Hungarian evening of entertainments too. Also great. And a few quizzes. Lovely people on board, and with only about 125 passengers, we found it easy to find new friends. So, please look into this particular holiday. We're already looking at our next river cruise with ATP / TravelMarvel.
