Such a relaxing way to travel between cities. I can read, nap, or just enjoy the scenery. The observation car is perfect for taking photos.

Much quieter than buses or planes. The gentle rocking motion is actually quite soothing. Food car prices are high but the quality was decent. Would definitely use again for longer trips.

We take Amtrak regularly for weekend trips and it's become our preferred way to travel. No parking hassles at our destination and we arrive refreshed instead of stressed from driving.

Everything was well-organized from boarding to arrival. The conductors were professional and the train cars were clean. Appreciated the power outlets at every seat for charging devices.

Train was 2 hours late due to freight train priority issues. This seems to happen frequently based on what other passengers were saying. When it runs on time though, it's a pleasant experience.

No security lines, spacious seats, and I could work on my laptop the entire trip. The cafe car had decent food options too.

The WiFi kept cutting out during my 6-hour journey, which was problematic since I needed to work. Train staff said it's an ongoing issue in certain areas. Otherwise, smooth trip with good service.

While I enjoy train travel, the tracks clearly need upgrades. The ride was bumpy in several sections and we had to slow down frequently. Staff was apologetic but this seems to be a systemic issue.

The business class seats were very comfortable with plenty of legroom. WiFi worked well most of the trip. However, for the price I paid, I expected the food quality to be better. The sandwich I got was pretty basic for $12.

When you factor in airport time, baggage fees, and taxi costs, the train is competitive price-wise. Plus the seats are much more comfortable than airline seats. The only issue was the restrooms could have been cleaner.

The Cascades route was absolutely beautiful with stunning views of Mount Rainier and the Columbia River. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the journey. Only downside was the train was about 30 minutes late arriving, but the comfortable seats and smooth ride made up for it.
