Elite Flooring would say it was an all round good…
I would say it was an all round good experience from my visit to the showroom with their vast range of flooring plus staff being so helpful including a visit to check how it would be practical etc and staff arriving on time and being so professional and helpful in completing my flooring
I recently had an issue with tiles picking up and fading - I contacted the company and they dealt with it in a very speedy and efficient way. The product is excellent and this is matched by the service
Beautiful floor laid very skillfully. Warranty registration process easy and prompt.
One issue - as tiles are supplied in 2sqm packs, we were left with 1.65sqms of expensive tiles. Perhaps packs should be supplied in 1sqm quantity.
Spacia Oak flooring laid in my living room and it looks amazing. It is very hard wearing and brilliant for pets, no scratches and easy to clean, especially compared to solid wood, which I had before. It looks just as good, but is more resilient.
Spent ages waiting for Amtico flooring. Paid much more than other brands because I wanted hard wearing quality. Unfortunately, if you breath on it, it seems to scratch. I cant believe this flooring is so easily scratched. Only been down 6 months and already in some light looks so bad.
Purchased almost £4k of Amtico Click Smart Nordic Oak Click, which is much more expensive than the flooring I purchased for upstairs a few months prior. Paid the extra money for the Amtico reputation. However this has turned out to be a massive mistake. Upon opening the boxes we began noticing at least 1 plank on average was already scratched per box. Notified the Amtico supplier who said Amtico will be in touch. Few weeks later and still nothing, but as kitchen fitting was due imminently we went ahead and fit the flooring and left the scratched pieces as wastage, hoping the scratched pieces were just my bad luck as this was Amtico after all. BIG MISTAKE - I wish I had returned it all straight away. The flooring is poor quality. It doesn't click in properly when laying despite a perfect floor underneath. It scratches like a knife to butter and is quite frankly not fit for purpose. I have chased again and still waiting for a resolution from Amtico, but to be honest I am not holding my breath. I wish I had read the other reviews here complaining of the same issue here first as I wouldn't have chucked all this money down the drain...
Amtico got the order wrong, takes ages to correct it
Ordered some Designers Choice Polygon key through a retailer on 19th May (plus other Amtico and Karndean orders). The retailer and I made the design very clear with a diagram. It took 5 weeks to come, then when it arrived we discovered that Amrico got the design incorrect (their fault). No worries I thought, I am sure they will expedite a new order as it's their error. I reported the issue on 1 July and was told it would be 18 July when I'd get the corrected order. This was a pain as we cannot fit a toilet and plinths until the floor is done. Had a call today to say it's now going to be 26 July, nearly 4 weeks to correct their own error! This means I am now a month behind finishing a house and letting it to tenants, they are holding up three trades. No amount of begging will make it quicker apparently. Rubbish service. If you read the reviews on this site you can see Amtico don't even bother to comment to try and resolve issues. What a poor brand.
UPDATE: I sent them all the details as requested on 29 September.... I've heard nothing from them in six weeks!
Have Amtico's so-called Luxury Vinyl Tiles in our kitchen. Almost immediately they started warping and the joins started opening up near our bifold doors, so much so that they are now a significant trip hazard. This is in Northern Scotland, so hardly a mediterranean heat situation. Complete garbage and Amtico absolutely do not want to acknowledge that there is a problem with this product, never mind do anything about it. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
[EDIT] The floor was the 'Click' product. I'm updating this as Amtico sent round a representitive to look at the floor, and while he felt that there were problems with the way it had been laid, admitted that it got too hot and warped in front of our bifold doors. Amtico (and Magnet, the supplier, who knew fine well where the tiles would be laid and should not have sold them to us) have now supplied a glue-down tile which will hopefully solve the problem, although we have to pay to have it fitted. The guy from Amtico was pleasant to deal with, I have added a star for this.
Expecting delivery in one week and have just been told today that it won’t arrive for another 11 weeks. Shocking! No apology, no compensation, no floor covering offered in the meantime, no customer service. Don’t use.
The flooring tiles are for in a small lift in an apartment block.
There was a good choice of products and the samples were received very quickly.
I am giving 5 stars because Amtico offers free returns on their samples; something all similar companies should be doing.
Terrible quality tiles lifting everywhere, poor fitting guidance etc. The instructions contradict themselves re: subfloor. Total opposite to Karndean which is high quality. Have wasted £1500+ and months now bought laminate to put over top.
Unless you are happy with visible gaps in your flooring I suggest you avoid this product. We have had the signature range tiles installed in a chevron pattern and the gaps are an eyesore. A separate contractor has come back (at our considerable expense) to replace areas where the gaps were most significant and the problem is not resolved. The tiles themselves vary slightly in size - not an issue in a individual tile but over a run of tiles this makes a difference.
Further, whilst the tiles are said to be scratch resistant they are not in the conventional sense. The wear layer gets scratched which you can see. It doesn't count as a scratch because the coloured part of the tile remains in tact but this seems like semantics. We don't have dogs etc and don't wear shoes inside so it's very hard to avoid scratching.
Please consider carefully before you buy as I am so unhappy with the floor, I wish I could afford to replace.
Chose to replace old flooring throughout hall, kitchen and utility room with Amtico Spacia White Ash as I was looking for a dog friendly, non slip, hard wearing, easy to clean floor. It was more expensive than I could really afford, but I thought it would be worth it.
How wrong I was!! This floor is dreadful, it is never clean no matter how hard I try, it scratches really easily and already 4 planks have been replaced because it was so bad. Frankly I could not recommend this flooring to anyone, not unless you want to spend your life on your hands and knees trying to keep it clean. I have become a slave to this floor and if I could I would replace it in an instant with the cheaper floor I chose for my Conservatory, and which would have cost me £1,200 less!
