I took out a loan with Amigo, like many others over Covid I wasn’t working like everyone else in the world, my interest kept building, I went into debt in arrears of 3k. When I got my old job back I was paying off the arrears plus an extra £200 a month that kept adding on because I was in arrears. No one ever reach out to me to try and help, or even told me I was chasing my tail until I sat down with a family member who leant me the money to pay off the arrears. At the end of this year the loan will have finished. Like many others no one has heard any update about the scheme. They should shut amigo loans down. Stop lending to poor innocent people and stop taking advantage of them.

I needed a loan very quickly and Amigo were the only one that would help me they checked everything and my garantor and were happy to oblige i am so pleased with everything they have done for me and the superb way they dealt with me they were wonderful and i can not thank them enough, THANK YOU

Amigo loans are disgusting thousands apon thousands off us mis sold loans I’m one of them they let us go in to equity set off while they deal with claims which where due for answers June now they moved the goal posts to augest but reporting everyone’s late payments hay amigo how bout you stop reporting late payments as you can’t even stick to your own time frames disgusting

WARNING AMIGO WAS TAKEN DOWN DUE TO MISS SOLD LOANS TO THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND I AM ONE OF THEM!! 50%APR NO PROPER CHECKS ON FINANCIALS, THEY PERSUADE YOU TO TAKE A LOAN REGARDLESS OF YOUR SITUATION. IT'S BEEN TWO YEARS SINCE THE COURT CASES AGAINST THEM. THEY STILL HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO THE COMPLIANT REGARDING THE SCHEME OF ARRANGEMENT. I would not recommend Amigo Loans to anyone. I was mis-sold a loan by them, and they have been nothing but a rip-off. I applied for a loan with Amigo Loans because I was in a difficult financial situation. I was told that the loan would be affordable, and that I would be able to repay it easily. However, the loan was much more expensive than I was expecting, and I have struggled to make the repayments. I have contacted Amigo Loans on several occasions to try to get a better deal, but they have been unhelpful. They have refused to reduce the interest rate, and they have even threatened to take me to court if I don't keep up with the repayments. I feel like I have been taken advantage of by Amigo Loans. They have behaved like loan sharks, and they have not been honest with me about the terms of the loan. I would urge anyone thinking of taking out a loan with Amigo Loans to think twice. Here are some specific examples of how Amigo Loans have been a rip-off: * The interest rate on my loan is much higher than I was expecting. * The fees associated with the loan are also very high. * I have been charged late fees even though I have made my repayments on time. * I have been contacted by Amigo Loans' debt collection agency even though I am still making my repayments. I am now in a worse financial situation than I was before I took out the loan with Amigo Loans. I would not recommend them to anyone. If you have been mis-sold a loan by Amigo Loans, you should contact the Financial Ombudsman Service. You may be able to get compensation for the distress and financial hardship that you have experienced.

I got a 5000 loan they never done any back ground checks on my income i was in so much debt that these was my last option my guarantors finances wasnt the best nither and she was on a very low income but yet they didnt check any thry just give me it struggled to.pay my monthly payments went inot a payment play but yet they keep sending thretning letters out avoid at all cost

What’s happening with amigo loans? I have already put in my claim as a borrower When will we receive an outcome letter??

Up until now they have been good, but have just taken 18100 from my guarantor even when I have paid this months. I had a text message back on the 3rd saying not been paid so this then prompted me to pay it, however they have now just taken more from my guarantor without any reason or email explaining they were going to and why to neither myself or my guarantor. Expect a refund now. 181.00 has no relevance whatsoever either such a random amount of money to take

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHATEVER YOU DO. JUST DONT NOT WORTH IT. WILL ABSOLUTELY FRAUD AND EXTORT YOU OUT OF EVERY EVRRY PENNY YOU HAVE. ID RATHER GO TO MY LOCAL MOB BOSS/LOAN SHARK BECAUSE I GUARANTEE HE WILL HAVE MORE SYMPATHY THAN THIS CROOK COMPANY.

Finally looks like amigo loans is going to close which I think is wot they were aiming for all along started up a new company so now it’s customers won’t even get 41 pence per pound and been waiting 3 years

Took a loan out and paid in full then the guarantor complained and got the loan back now they want me to pay it back again even though the original loan is satisfied and no money has ever gone into my account

Absolute disgusting company. Never missed a payment in 4 years - one was slightly late but within their 7 day window. They then bombarded my guarantor with financially threatening letters etc.. but I wasn’t even in arrears!! Told credit file and that negatively impacted me. I have 3 payments left but unfortunately have had to enter an IVA due to the current state of this country.. what can I say only they have sent default notices even though it’s not in arrears again, and the letter states no arrears but if arrears aren’t paid court action will be taken??!!. Literally just made an official complaint, and will continue on to the financial ombudsman. They cause more worry and upset than debt itself. So sorry that I voted for their scheme of arrangement also. They shouldn’t be licensed anymore.

Worst company I ever dealing with.

Do not get a loan here. Extremely poor customer services, I cleared my debt with them over a year ago, the office team are shocking and no help at all I had 1 good person to speak to in over 5 years with them, I cleared my debt with them and a year has past when all of a sudden I get a letter saying I owe them more money from 2018 from a “technical error” on there system, checked my account which still says nothing is owed. Biggest mistake was going to this company 5 years of belittling from customer service team and shocking support.

I was struggling with an up coming payment I rang the collections department and spoke with Dan Holden I was very distressed about how I was going to afford the payment and my other bills! Dan went above and beyond to carm me down and put a suitable affordable plan in place! I can’t thankyou enough for listening and helping me he’s a credit to have for your company thank you Dan x

Kim was an outstanding agent. First bit of advice that should have been so simple for anyone to see really calmed the nerves. Brilliant agent 10/10

After agreeing to be someone’s gaurantor, then said person telling amigo they couldn’t afford to pay, it was down to me as gaurantor. Which I know that’s what I signed up for. But then I got in contact on numerous occasions to tell them that person who took loan out was doing more hours so therefore earning more, so they should get in contact to get them to pay again, this never happened. I have ended up paying it for last 2 years with no help from amigo. They make it so easy for people to get loans, then make it even easier for them to ring and say they can’t afford to pay, so then it is down to gaurantor. They should have been in contact with them every month, but by sounds of it, once you ring to say you can’t pay they leave them alone and hound the gaurantor.
