They were helpful about all those things that I wanted to know. Like My Peak, Shoulder and off peak which I’m not quite familiar and the rest!
Competitive rates and an easier than most processes
The website was extremely difficult to use when trying to set up My account. I gave up after 3 times and had to phone to get it done. After setting it up and deciding to change how I want to receive my bill, I then had to use a different website to achieve this as there was nowhere to do it in My account. 😡
I'm sure its just the whole industry that is designed to annoy the carp out of you... but I am happy as a clam at high tide after talking to Anne-Marie, her voice was so calmingly soothing and her ability to explain the ridiculous process required to cancel a service that is already cancelled took me from anger management to zen without the need for wine! Fantastic job Anne-Marie, I accept that I'll have to pay to reconnect my unconnected gas line so I can unconnect it again, and that is all on you... The fact that I had a great experience with you over the phone while Alinta shafted me that is... the rod delt by Alinta still has a little bit of a sting... but its a first world sting so nothing that glass of wine won't fix!
Such an easy way to join a new provider.
I was unsure regarding changing to another provider and hope I have confidence in doing so.
They have rectified their mistakes
Was told a lot lies by sales rep that convinced me to sign up & leave my old provider, to start with I DID NOT RECIEVE WELCOME VIA POST 📬 like I was told I would, signed up 13 days ago & received a $100 bill 10 tens later, how the hell do I use $100 worth electricity in just 10 days. PLEASE EXPLAIN! Even tho I was told I’d be getting quarterly bills. Was told my solar balance plan would be 10c but back instead of 4c vs old provider, so my buy back was $5 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ SEEMS LIKE THEY PROMISE YOU ALL SORTS OF LIES & then BILL YOU TEN DAYS LATER. I’ve told them they’ve got 1 more month to prove themselves & if I get another bill with next 30 days or before quarterly IM GOUNG BACK TO MY OLD PROVIDER. Signed up 27th may 2025 and $100 bill 1 09-06-25 13 days later 🤦🏻♂️
Asked them a few years ago to match an existing discount, basically got fobbed off. Changed providers, now they come crawling back with an even better offer.
Was happy with my interaction with the person who encouraged me to change my current provider for electricity/gas to a better deal with Alinta. The person I spoke to had an accent but was clear and easy to understand. I say this because a lot of the time it is almost impossible to understand a person with a strong accent; this is not a racist comment, I am just being honest. I hope the new company and the plan I am now on does what I was told, being that I will be paying less overall.
