We were taken to some really lovely places. The thing that let the trip down badly was the rudeness of the driver.

Alfa Travel receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers, highlighting the excellent service provided by both drivers and hotel staff. Reviewers frequently commend the professionalism and politeness of drivers, with specific mentions of individuals like Bill and Nigel, who enhance the travel experience with their helpfulness and local knowledge. The hotels are also praised for their prime locations, cleanliness, and quality of food, contributing to enjoyable stays. However, some guests note issues such as noise disturbances in certain rooms and maintenance concerns, like broken lifts, which can affect comfort. Despite these minor complaints, the overall sentiment remains highly favorable, with many travelers expressing satisfaction and eagerness to book future trips. Overall, Alfa Travel is seen as a reliable choice for enjoyable holidays.

It was a great trip. Good driver and lovely staff at the hotel very friendly. I met some nice women too.
The holiday was fantastic , the only problem that spoilt it was the feeder coach from burton to Glossop homeward bound on the 9th oct . We had just arrived from Newquay The driver disappeared for 1hour leaving the people on the coach wondering what was happening . He finally arrived and set off , it took us another 3hours to get home to Glossop via a tour of Cheadle and Stockport . He was lost on a few occasions and had to ask the passengers the directions . We thought that the drivers were knowledgable on bus routes. However the holiday , hotel, food and the Newquay coach driver was excellent
George IV Hotel in Criccieth was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly, efficient and obliging. Single room spacious, very good en suite with the easiest to operate shower I’ve encountered in a hotel. Good breakfast, cooked to order, with table service. Plenty of choice at dinner, generous portions of meat but vegetables too soft (frozen?) Disappointed that excursions were re-organised with very short time out on one day and too much packed in to the other. Good value
Good holiday but home travel was horrible set off from hotel at 8 am and arrived at bowburn at 6 pm a ten hour trip with only one stop for a half hour break???!!! Disgusting and has put me off going on a trip again. The coach was not an Alfa coach but a j and d coach!!!
Well organised. Coach journey was pleasant and our coach driver, Jim, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The hotel, again was well organised and efficient. Food was excellent, lots of choice and plenty of it. Only thing that could have been improved was the lighting in the bedroom, a bit dim. We are looking to book another one
Overall the holiday was great. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, food and the staff were great. The bus driver was not so good, didn`t know where to drop us off in Norwich and had to walk a long distance back in to the City Centre.(There were a lot of people with walking sticks and crutches). Said it was his first time to Norwich ,surely he should have got info from someone who had been there and where to drop us off. On the return journey our second stop was at Moffat and the cafe shut at1630 we arrived at 1600. It had no food left whatsoever. Surely he could have stopped at Gretna Services or gone on to Cairn Lodge where we could have got food. The ones from Aberdeen were not getting there till about 2200.
Just got back from a 5 day break to Weymouth.May I say that you do not have much flexability as regards to trips in bad weather which we experienced this week.Going to places where there is only cafes and pubs and no shelter from the elements is a no brainer.Places like West Bay and Poole Quay for example where surely in bad weather alteratives could be found like the Dolphin Centre in Poole in bad weather.
We had a great holiday. Derrick our driver was very knowledgeable and made for an informative trip. The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable.
STAFF VERY HELPFUL NOTHING TOO MUCH TROUBLE. DRIVER ALSO VERY HELPFUL AND INFORMATIVE
Our holiday was absolutely amazing! The coach travel was well arranged and really comfortable. When we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed warmly, and everything was so clean and tidy. The staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. It was a fantastic experience!
Travel arrangements and coach were excellent, apart from the return journey route, by passing Edinburgh & Livingston to get to Falkirk, only to reverse the route for drop offs. Holiday let down by restaurant service at the hotel. Serving one type of ordered meal to the whole restaurant before starting to serve the next type of starter meant some were finished and some not started.
The feeder service and trip up to Scotland and back was very good. All the drivers were fine especially Christopher who was the main one. The hotel was as expected as I read the reviews beforehand. The staff were more than willing but the hotel needs a good tidy up, a good clean up on the outside and communal areas. The food was not as good as in a previous Alfa hotel in that some meals had small portions and not as hot as they could be. The Cumberland in Scarborough was perfect with very hot food at every meal. The singers were good but the Bingo was a shambles at times and as to the Heads and Tails game, The Cumberland made theirs (green and red arrows) very informative, fun and entertaining. Yes, the WiFi is a problem but wasn’t the end of the world as it worked fine on the coach. The driver Chris made up for any shortfalls and have already sent Alfa a separate compliment about himself.
I have to say the hotel was a great experience .Although it is a place of 'faded grandeur ' - falling plaster etc it more than made up with it's warmth , great staff throughout and the restaurant staff superb . I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here . The Hotel certainly have a good chef and kitchen team . Great views across the Pier and the sea. As it is such a long journey to Cromer - no motorways as such- any delays stood out. The swap over of coach was an hour's delay which is a lot on the journey time. Perhaps a quicker system could be adopted. All in all a very good holiday break at a very affordable price especially for the pensioners of the country. Cheers.🌹🌹
From start to finish, coach driver, Derek was brilliant staff at hotel brilliant, people we met brilliant. Can't praise the holiday highly enough
Coach — excellent! Hotel - rooms a little cramped and tired.
