The staff at the Acorn Rainham branch…

The staff at the Acorn Rainham branch are a credit to the sector, from our initial talks with Kieran through to Mark and Remmi when completing. They all went above and beyond to make sure we was fully satisfied and always kept us updated. In this process we had dealt with several estate agents and by far Acorn Rainham were the best. If we were to need an estate agent again. Acorn Rainham would be our top choice and would highly recommend them. Well done Mark, Kieran and Remmi Thankyou so much Lee & Alice

Great experience

I have dealt with multiple estate agents in the past, and I found the staff at Acorn Rainham branch exceptional. Mark and Kieran were professional as well as very friendly and easy to get on with. They kept me informed the whole time, which other agents have not. I would use them again in the future

I had an excellent experience with…

I had an excellent experience with Acorn Real Estate Group, and I want to especially thank Mark, Kieran, and Remmi for their outstanding support throughout the process. From start to finish — and particularly up to the exchange of contracts — their professionalism, responsiveness, and dedication were second to none. They kept me well-informed at every stage, provided honest and clear advice, and were always available to answer my questions promptly. It’s rare to find a team so committed to client satisfaction. Thanks to their hard work, the process was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Acorn and this fantastic team for anyone looking for reliable and genuinely supportive estate agents.

Bad first time buyer experience

We’ve a very bad experience with their Gravesend office. Made the offer in August, my solicitor received the draft contract pack only in November, according to the estate agents (Ezze and Kevin) the management pack was ordered in September. This week Kevin called me stating the seller has financial issues and not able to pay for the management pack?! Fair enough, but they insisted on that I can pay for it and then it’ll be deducted from the purchase price. But what happens if one of parties pull out before exchange or I don’t get the mortgage (it was still pending due to cladding issues in the building), there’s no way I can legally claim back the price of the management pack. The seller asked us to have a meeting in the agency office then didn’t show up? The whole situation and the attitude of Kevin, the sales manager, was really cheeky - I’m not ready to pay the sellers conveyancing fee, I’m sorry. The property is back on the market as I see but with misleading info, it says it has riverside view which is not true! Very bad first time buyer experience… not recommend Gravesend office at all!

I had a really good interaction with…

I had a really good interaction with Acorn recently. They were very accommodative and helped me alot in finding the exact place I wanted. Especially Crystal from Forest Hill branch was literally personally involved and drove me herself to all the properties. She’s continued checking on me even after i shifted and solved the issues I had. Highly recommended if you are looking for a new place to move .

Sold a lie

Sold a lie ! Property still has single glazed, none of the radiators worked, plumbing barely coped with water pressure, landlord not interested whatsover in spending any money on the property and refuses to refund the deposit so TDS in arbitration for months one end.

Typical estate agent just about do a job! Leave you with the mess

Typical estate agent. Do half a job to earn a living. Don't know what's going on pretty much most of the time. Told by kieran & some regional manager sale had been finalised on 2 different occasions to then be told there solicitors are not ready. Avoid the truth at all costs. After sale care what is that! Would not recommend Acorn and estate agent (Kieran)

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

GRAVESEND OFFICE AWLFUL SERVICE (OR SHOULD WE SAY LACK OF SERVICE) FROM THEM! If we could give them 0 stars we would! Kevin the sales manager was suppose to be valuing our property on Saturday 19/10/2024 at 11am, however even though this date & time was confirmed by email, we got a voicemail asking to change the time, we then got a text stating the original date & time! When we called the office to find out what was going on, no one knew anything about it & then we got a phone call from Kevin on the day of valuation saying he had no idea where that information came from & after taking loads of details from us, he said he would be with us at 11am, if the traffic was ok. 25 minutes after the time Kevin was due we got a phone call from the office stating he had broken down!!, cannot understand why he didn’t have the courtesy to call us himself! The office said someone will call us on the Monday to rebook an appointment, this never happened, we did not receive an apology from Kevin & considering he is suppose to be a manager, he should have at least contacted us explaining himself! We have not heard from him or the office again. Absolutely unprofessional & so much negativity even before they crossed our threshold! We would never recommend Acorn following this awful experience!

Acorn Group - Useless lettings agents

Acorn Group - Do not touch these lettings agents with a barge pole. My daughter, who was pregnant and a first time landlord, rented out her property with Acorn. She paid 14.5% to them to fully manage the letting. Once they had signed her up, they stopped providing advice and guidance. The tenant they accepted was not vetted adequately and within three months stopped paying the rent. She never paid any Council Tax or utility bills. She was a fraudster and had a 15 year history of setting up businesses in rented properties and not paying any bills. A simple Google search if done by the vetting agent would have flagged this up. In cahoots with her daughter and many accomplices, she used my daughter’s address to set up multiple companies. My daughter knew nothing about it. Despite getting an eviction notice, she refused to leave the property. Apart from sending an email, Acorn did nothing. It was left to myself (aged 72) to go round and negotiate a leaving date. When the tenant finally left, and only after being threatened with court action, she owed over £4,000 to my daughter, thousands in non payment of Council tax and utility bills and many thousands in unpaid bills for goods ordered for her businesses. For many months my daughter had to deal with bailiffs who were chasing up the tenant’s debts going back up to 15 years, and get her address removed from Companies House. She managed to get only a tiny fraction of the money owed to her back, and nearly didn’t get any because Acorn had allowed the rent deposit scheme to lapse. Do not use Acorn Estates they are a disgrace.

Incessant and stress-inducing agents

Today I received yet another unsolicited call from Acorn (today it was Ryan), despite numerous agents telling me they will remove my details from their database and despite me telling them that I DO NOT want anything to do with them - in particular, since they sent a letter to my dead father! When I originally met with Acorn - which I regret immensely! - I told them about his death, but it seems that selling properties is more important than leaving people to grieve! Edit: Regarding Acorn’s reply stating I did not contact them in July, I did include customer service in my email to Brendan Kennedy last year informing him that I did not want to be contacted again by Acorn and you obviously did nothing! I will email you again in the remote hope that Acorn will leave me alone once and for all!

Poor management from Tanya Weise and Amy Knowles and 0 tenant rights

I am living in a property managed by Acorn. I have lived there for the past 2 years. I am going to write down my poor experience so this can open the eyes of those who have to deal with this agency. - I started living in this property in September 2022. After the first month there wasn’t any hot water from hand-held shower for 6 months, from October 2022 to April 2023. I contacted the agency and I quote Tanya Weise (property manager) “this is not an inhabitable property, therefore we can’t do anything and it’s not a flat problem”. Most of my neighbours renting through other agencies either got this problem solved or received a compensation. I had to keep paying £1300 through all these months with no explanation given. - In January 2023 I asked my property manager, Tanya Weise, to send me a confirmation letter (not a contract) that I am renting the property. I quote “we don’t provide with this letter”. I needed this letter for a Government Grant. I had to let that grant go due to this. - Last month, I asked the agency if I could change the sofa and replace it with a new one, keeping the landlady’s sofa stored. After 4 weeks of back and forth messages with Tanya Weise, she didn’t give me any solutions and she did not answer any of the phone calls for over 2 weeks. There are also being problems with my storage space in the building that apparently I am not allowed to use. - After all of this problems, I asked my property manager to be able to have a personal conversation with my landlady to discuss all of these small things, however, nobody gave me a solution and they are trying to avoid me from speaking with the landlady. Also, I am not being forwarded any communications with my landlady either. - At this precise moment I don’t have any hot water from both sinks. This has been happening for the past 2 months, and no solution has been given. I cannot wash my dishes with hot water or have a hot bath. - I contacted Amy Knowles to change my property manager and request for my landlady details and I quote “there hasn’t been any material issues with Tanya Weise so she will continue to be your property manager” I do know that by law I am entitled to have my landlady’s contact. I also know that I should not be without hot water for such long period of times. In conclusion, please, avoid the services of this agency. They don’t provide with any good service and they believe they have all the rights and us, the tenants, don’t have any.
