The worst operator I've ever used.

The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it

False Advertising Buyer Beware.

False Advertising Buyer Beware. You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY. Absolutely A Disgrace. It Looks like a great deal but it's not. Beware.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.

My experience with mobile 48

I joined mobile 48 two weeks ago and my experience has been excellent. My sim arrived and I was kept informed as to when it would arrive. My number was moved in a couple of hours. I asked the community how to set up my wifi and this was comprehensive and easy to follow. My wifi reception is excellent and I use it to tether onto my laptop and tablet when I am out of wi-fi range. I coud not happier with my choice

This is only my second month with 48…

This is only my second month with 48 and I'm now starting to regret leaving my last network. Today is Saturday and I paid 7.99 for monthly 'membership. It never activated so I spoke to agents who said it's a technical glitch and nothing can be done until Monday since the relevant team don't work weekends. So apparently nobody needs to make calls at the weekend ? Tough luck if there's a glitch on the system .

Terrible service lots of catches

I switched to 48 from 3 lately and it was a bad mistake. It took me 2 weeks to port my number and when i contacted support i got no help. They said they would log my info and get back to me asap but they never did. The data is slow at the best of times and they take any data you have left once the month is up. Even the data you put aside for emergencies in "the safe" is taken at the end of the month. Once your subscription is up you have no credit to contact people like i did with 3 and you have to buy another subscription to contact anyone. I dont think it is worth the saving for the hassle they put me through. I would highly suggest to stay away from 48!!

Avoid avoid avoid, three days porting my number. So no calls or texts as they cut off my old sim too, customer service is a joke if yiu get them, the company line is I’ve passed this on to our relevant team they’ll be in touch via email but no such thing it’s a myth I think they haven’t a clue, I was lied to in the chat numerous times and pointed it out but just kept getting the company line it’s a crazy set up do yourself a favour don’t bother it’s not even worth the €7.99

I first ordered my sim in May 2020 and…

I first ordered my sim in May 2020 and i didn't get anything in the post , I just put it down to Covid 19 as we were in Lockdown at the time . I then reordered another sim in September and still didn't arrive after the week deadline . I was then told to reorder another sim so i placed another order and reorder again and it finally arrived a few weeks later . I sent in a complaint but i feel it was not answered fully and only gave me little information i didnt already know about . I decided to activate the sim on Sat 14th November and it was no problem , i had to put in the APN settings manually just so they match what is on the 48 website . Speed of Data is good , i am on 4g most of the time . Porting was good ,my number was on sim same day but my other network provider was still active with same number but it sorted the next day . Can make and receive calls , texts and data . Price is good but the question remains if i need to reorder a sim card if it goes faulty how long would i need to wait for a new one ?

I can;t give no stars, I LIVE IN SLIGO TOWN not in the sticks .Their data runs at 1 to 2 gb So don;t go anywhere near this networth if you need internet.Contact online after a hour of trying to tell you it's your phone do this do that all crap my dauthers runs at the same speed ,Trying to chat online is a wast of time ,

I recruited a new customer, was promised extra 10 credit... they gave it to me just hours before the monthly membership expired and the credit with it... total con job... if they cant be transparent and honest... its a sign of a dodgy outfit...

Excellent product so far

Excellent product - flexible, cheap as chips, generous data allowance and good customer support on Live Chat or Messenger. I recruited another customer but not through the My48 app so didn’t get the free month! Free SIM card though which is very good - GoMo charge 12.99 for their SIM. Was on Vodafone last year at 48 euro a month for a miserable 5 gb and 300 minutes. Saving 480 euro a year for much more data and unlimited calls. Wouldn’t recommend for outside EU but they tell you that and who’s traveling far afield these days? Was on GoMo which is good too but 48 have the edge at the moment. ( Until January 5th) Website graphics are cheap and cheerful but don’t let that sway you it’s an innovative and competitive product. Would recommend 48.ie so far. It’s a 30 day contract so you can switch again if you’re not happy. And they post you a free SIM card with a free gb of data to try so no risk! I’ve donated the maximum 5gb of data to Foodcloud each month so far. They’re owned by Three and use that network so good coverage (like GoMo are owned by eir) SIM card took a good few days to arrive in the post but it was worth the wait. So don’t leave it too late to order before the 7.99 special offer ends on January 5th 2021. What’s not to like about 48.ie? Click auto-renew when you join and you won’t have to do anything each month, the 7.99 euro will be automatically deducted from your bank card. They don’t do direct debit - it’s not bill pay- you pay in advance (which means some comparison websites don’t mention 48 as it’s not a bill pay product) but the auto renew serves the same purpose as a direct debit arrangement. Well worth considering!!!
