The worst operator I've ever used.

The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it

False Advertising Buyer Beware.

False Advertising Buyer Beware. You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY. Absolutely A Disgrace. It Looks like a great deal but it's not. Beware.

PATHETIC

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.

Still waiting for SIM

So, a couple of weeks has passed [24th Nov], and still no sign of my SIM. To say it's an inconvenience would be an understatement. If you have to ring people, bank online and pay numerous bills, receive appointment dates via mobile messenger, or simply keep in touch with your family, I'd recommend you don't have the experience I'm currently going through. Or if you need to use Inland Revenue online or My.gov online and have no sim/phone to achieve this, I would recommend you stay with your current provider. People say get a new sim from anywhere. Okay, then set in process the task of notifying all of the above of your number switch. Hmm, don't go where I've been. It's been hugely frustrating.

Switched two family mobile numbers…

Switched two family mobile numbers yesterday from Virgin to 48.ie. I activated both new SIMS individually, once activated I went through the process of signing up to monthly bill pay for both, once completed I contacted 48.ie through their online chat (no waiting for representative), to assist with the number porting for both numbers, that online chat took apprix 5 minutes, once completed I waited for the number port to take place which happened just 10 minutes ago, within the 24 hours they say on their website for multiline porting and all works perfectly. For me and my experience a seamless and hassle free experience and all within 24 hours for two family mobile numbers. And well worth the effort for a industry bargain shake-up of €7.99 per month, 100GB data with free any network calls and messages. Thank you 48.ie

I have no phone for the past two days

I have no phone for the past two days as it says porting which should only take a couple of hours. They have the worst customer service I have ever the misfortune to deal with, these people have no idea what is going on. This is my business phone and they do not care. I can't even get hold of anyone to cancel the port. Consumer rights are next followed by a trip to my solicitor. These people are cowboys.

Not receiving incoming calls since moving to 48

Since changing to 48, I have not been able to receive incoming calls from some friends. The network seems to be selective and random, as to whom I can receive calls from. Having been on to customer agents 3 times in the last week, there is still no resolution nor was there any response to my complaint email. If you want to be able to receive calls, my advise is to stay away from 48. You pay for what you get? It would appear so but unacceptable that people can't phone you! So goodbye 48, and please for your own patience and frustration levels, stay away from them.

Absolute JUNK of a network

Absolute JUNK of a network! Stay away. As they say, buy it cheap, buy it twice. Support is non existent, the network is brutal, their app is from the stone age and if you are traveling abroad this network is a disaster. Firstly you need to enable in SIM application that you are going abroad, and then if you’re lucky you might get 2G or 3G signal. 9 out of 10 you won’t be able to use your phone. I gave up after 3 months and endless frustration. Back to Vodafone. Expensive but it works!!

Moved from 3. €30 to €7.99 for same serrvice

Very easy transfer over number. I was with three 30 day sim only plan. Very good signal and internet is perfect. Uses same masts as three so makes sense that it is the same.
