The worst operator I've ever used.

The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it

False Advertising Buyer Beware.

False Advertising Buyer Beware. You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY. Absolutely A Disgrace. It Looks like a great deal but it's not. Beware.

PATHETIC

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.

Internet speed so bad

Just joined. Internet max speed for me was 0.5mbps. Takes 5 minutes for a web page to load, despite full 4G connection. Just left

So I decided to join up after googling GOMO and seen 48.ie

So I decided to join up after considering Gomo ,I seen someone mention 48.ie on Facebook being 7:99 a month .I've been with Tesco for last 11 years and was paying €15 a month for a measly 15G data which I always used before next month. Ok so far my experience has been very good ,my wife and I both have had no issues so far ,we kept our numbers and for 7:99 a month with no contract cant go wrong .100 gigs a month is just insane and great to have no worries that I can stream as much Amazon music as I like while driving . We both donated 5gigs each to the food cloud which is very good because this creates meals for the hungry ,I like the concept and so far very happy with 48

The recruit a friend and get free…A scam!

The recruit a friend and get free credit is a scam! I recruited a friend who had never heard of 48,,however I had a sim sent to her add, she’s now a customer of 48 and they said I didn’t order her sim through the recruit tab or whatever, and neither of us will get the free credit we were promised. We are both leaving this company as soon as our current membership ends...if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Have not been able to contact support…

Have not been able to contact support for 48.ie. Live chat has not been available all day. The prices for unlocking phones is also incorrect. Contacted the one company and they said 48.ie has not updated their site in 3 or 4 years which is why there is a big difference in unlocking price and time frame is incorrect.

The support is non-existant

The support is non-existant. Sent email and waited three weeks with follow up email and still nothing back. Worst "support" I've experienced!

Recommended provider

Switched over to 48 two weeks ago after disastrous coverage with GoMo and I find it excellent. Web chat very helpful. I'm getting all the family switched over to 48. Word of warning - it is too late to order the €7.99 SIM now, you won't have it before the offer expires (10 Nov), as offer begins only when you activate the SIM, and it takes 3-5 days to deliver.
