The worst operator I've ever used.

The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it

False Advertising Buyer Beware.

False Advertising Buyer Beware. You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY. Absolutely A Disgrace. It Looks like a great deal but it's not. Beware.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.

Overcharged 65€ - still not refunded

I was charged an extra 65€ in may. I have been contacting them constantly since then and they are ignoring my emails (and live chats). I still have to be refunded my €65. It has nearly been two months!!

Going abroad (how to fix)

Anyone giving out about roming I had the same issue when I went up north or even to England I never could get service. I found out you have to go to your settings on your iPhone > Mobile Data > Sim Applications > When abroad > Network Selection > Manual Then go to your settings again after done that and go to network selection and turn it off and it shall pop up all the phone network companies abroad don’t click any of them it will automatically connect you to the strongest connection. Had 4G in most places in Manchester. Brilliant service but poorly designed & hard to find information. Would give a 3 and a half star review

The unsuccessful 3 day struggle to buy a plan!

I would give it less than 1 star ideally. Got free sim Friday and have spent the entire weekend trying to buy a plan. As soon as I confirm purchase in my bank app when I select to continue on the 48 page, it reverts back to home page. Also, their pages freeze frequently, their bot (and eventually agent) tell me to open in another browser etc. It's a constant cycle and both times I got to an agent, he had the same name. He still told me to do the same thing he told me before. When I told him I had done it he just repeated the same thing (by message.) I'm not sure their website works properly at all. Or, their bot or agent.

48 was very good until recently I only lost coverage near the Curragh & between Loo Bridge & Kilgarvan which was understandable being a mountainous area. But lately it's bad inside in Killarney & Tralee not a mind out the country. Are ye abandoning 4G or what?

Cheap but terrible service

Cheap but terrible service. I have been with them for about 4 years. In that time I have never been able to use roaming abroad. Spoke to several so called technical people. They all say they can solve the problem but as of today they can’t.

Is it "common practice" a good excuse to raise your price by shorting the billing period to 4 weeks? I don't think so. So here is the common practice that you will experience, my entire family, switching off from this act of greed. Best of luck!

No roaming in EU or UK, awful.

Awfull, was on holiday in Spain with my family and roaming did not work. Got a workaroud that worked for a few days and now all our sims are cutoff with no ability to get back online. Also if you exceed your data allowance you have to wait until your membership expires to regain data access. Avoid at all costs.

48 works perfect in Roaming

48 works perfect in Roaming in Poland (2 different networks available), Spain (3 networks available), Italy (2 networks available) and in the UK (3 networks available) - all tested myself this year 2023. All in 4G/4G+. The only issue is the guidlines on their website are wrong. You need to set up Belgian network APN on their sim card NOT FOLLOW their guidelines. I do not know is it just an error or they do it intentionally to abort people using Roaming with their sim cards.

Works ok in Ireland but wouldn't work…

Works ok in Ireland but wouldn't work in UK. Did everything I was supposed to do but no signal at all. Was blocked from accessing any network. Ended up having to buy a SIM card in UK to use phone. Am leaving 48 asap.
