The worst operator I've ever used. The internet is absolutely unstable. The speed is 0.2mb/s and this is 4g coverage? According to diagnostics, it feels like they're "scattering" it across different servers, like some kind of parasite. Ping is crazy. +- normal internet only at night. I don't recommend it
False Advertising Buyer Beware.
You have to purchase a plan by contract before you get your free month and then you have very little data as they say it's a FAIR USAGE POLICY.

Absolutely terrible. Indescribably useless. Data rarely ever works, and if it does, it’s 3g. There is no roaming despite what they say. I’ve tried everything and even got in contact with 48 to fix the issue and still nothing works. On top of that, you are not able to call non Irish numbers. UK, Spain, America etc. Complete joke. I don’t understand how something can be so useless. I am not usually the type to leave reviews and complain about things, but holy god 48 is terrible. The price is good, but the quality of services needs a serious overhaul.

tive been abroad 3 times this year an 48 doesnt work also my daughters 48 doesnt work abroad, we followed all the instructions from 48 still no service , my wife has vodafone and her phone works no problem without changing anything, terrible service ,ive been with 48 over 3yrs now they also took money from my debit card on the 9th of may and i wrote 3 times to them and spent nearly 6 hours of my time explaining about it, but still no money returned so they take your money and wont return until you spend weeks trying to get it back,i will now be changing to vodafone ,for a better service

48 are now changing to a 4 WEEK plan instead of a monthly plan. This is a price increase of one EXTRA PAYMENT per year. Is this legal? the package we signed up to said fixed price for life....
Been with 48.ie since they first came out, got the 8e deal for life. Great the first year now its crap,can't go in anything,videos keep loading,can't even go on Google. Connection always down. All my family are on it too,and it's the same with them. Leaving to go with another company as they just want me to upgrade to the 12.99 a month

Absolute rubbish company 48mobile, data never works abroad. I have never been able to use my data abroad. No customer service . And they sneak another Month into the year with there new charge rate ie every 4 weeks. I thought they advertised 10.99 a month for life ..surely there has to be a regulator ..you just get an email and that's it .. another month charge ...and there is nothing we can do...Dreadful company..if I could give minus 5 stars I would..will be moving as soon as I can ..
48.ie have changed their billing period to every 4 weeks instead of monthly. This is a very covert way of effecting a price increase (i.e 13 charges per year instead of 12). When I raised this issue with them through their online chat, I was cut off. I now don't have access to the chat feature on my account!
Good value if you use it in Ireland. Coverage is fine. Internet is generally good. However, roaming is a nightmare. I've travelled most of Europe since July last year and have had to recreate my APN settings in each country. This is unacceptable, even for a budget carrier. In Scotland and Northern Ireland roaming just wouldn't work at all.
It's only good if you're in Ireland, when you go abroad you're fcuked! It says 10GB in Europe but it doesn't work anywhere! You might just leave your phone at home
I joined 48 Mobile on 8/5/23 and to date I cannot receive calls to my phone. 48 are blaming Three for not porting. They are totally incompetent about solving my issue. Avoid at all costs.
