If I could give zero stars I would. I've not even used this company yet and I've already wasted hours trying to register on their portal. They only appear to have one phone number. You spend ages going through security questions to get through to an agent who then pops you back into the queue and have to go through the whole process again. Then you get a recorded message saying wait times are zero minutes. This is the 7th time I've tried to get through and I've currently been on hold for 45 minutes. Avoid !
It is incredible how quick the whole process took without pestering me too much questions or work to do.

You are a reactive and not pro active company. There was no dedicated person for my case, It took far too long to get completed so i have had to pay the expensive monthly floating interest rate for over 2 months at 9% !!

Optima Legal must be paying people to write bogus reviews on this Trustpilot website so the bona-fide reviews are moved down the page. Just look at the ''professional'' review writers who are paid to cover up this abysmal organisation. This organisation Optima Legal needs to be avoided at all costs. How they have a contract with so many lenders is a mystery. It is staffed by incompetent junior staff with no legal experience. Its virtually impossible to speak with anyone as the only telephone number is one of those IVR numbers (interactive voice recognition) that takes you in a virtual circle where there is no human you can speak with. After 6 weeks of dealing with this terrible organisation, I am moving to a high street solicitor where i CAN SPEAK WITH SOMEONE AND GET ANSWERS. Mark my words this review will be hidden by bogus reviews extolling how marvellous they are. I am reporting Optima Legal to the Ombudsman for sheer incompetence. I have lost Β£1000 on a simple remortgage as Optima Legal have not performed their basic job.
It's impossible to talk to them even regarding simple questions e.g. set a completion date. They don't respond to messages and impossible to get through to an agent via phone
The staff at Optima are very helpful, in particular, I found those who answer the telephone are always willing to update or resolve a query. My Mortgage Offer was received on the 30 September and Completion was on 17 October - a total of 14 working days....I think that fact speaks for itself...my sincere thanks to Optima Legal

I have never known such incompetence from a legal firm. They do not respond to you. They donβt know what they are doing and a remortgage should not be this long and complicated. Their online portal is the most useless web page in existence and the telephone process just to speak to a human is no better. Why any reputable bank are using them Iβll never know. Honestly avoid if you want your mortgage to actually progress. Youβll never reach the end goal, because they constantly tell you this is the last thing they need from you. Once you send that, another barrage of documents appear.
