Disgusting company. We moved hopuse in February, informed them of what was happening. Everything went smoothly, direct debit payment changed, no problem. Then I get a bill in May saying I owe them £25. Went onto my account online, it says I'm in credit. Rang them, turns out I had £25 balance to pay from the old address. No problem, paid it straight away. Then I see my credit score has plummeted - due to YW putting a late payment note on my file. rang them, they couldn't have cared lesss. They say they sent 5 letters and an email with a read receipt asking for payment. Absolute and utter nonsense. I never delete emails, I have them going back 5 years and no email from them is there. No letters recieved whatsoever except for the last one, despite them saying they had been. They will not remove the late payment notice, seriously impacting my ability to now get a home improvement loan which was desperately needed for the new house, and what we were counting on. They have the ability to remove the late payment charge, but won't. They take absolutely no consideration of the fact I've been paying them for years without a single issue. They are perfectly happy to ruin my credit rating for 6 years because of a paltry £25 bill that was paid as soon as I was aware of it. Appaling. I only wish I didn't have to use them for water.

Very easy to notify a change of occupancy. I can honestly say YW have nailed it. I have been switching tenants and ownership for 35 Years and there are utility companies that just make it extremely hards work. Note I live in Australia so online switching etc is a high priority

After waiting several minutes and getting through to a representative to query my bill I was cut off and had to go through the queueing experience again. However, this time they were able to see the reason why my consumption in the last quarter had dramatically increased as a result They have adjusted my bill in line with my previous quarters bills rather than taking this one months exception as the norm.
The operative was very easy to speak to and understood my situation and dealt with it very professionally and put me on a better tariff until my water meter can be fitted.

Requested a water metre. After a visit from a Yorkshire Water technician we were told this was not possible as we live in an end Victorian terrace that shares water supply. I contacted Yorkshire Water who assessed our provision and amended our account accordingly. Swift and professional.

We used and paid for parking at Thrusscross reservoir but received an invoice from Minster Baywatch parking. They seem to be a company that Yorkshire Water have instructed to patrol their car parks. I rang Yorkshire Water and spoke to Abdul on the 16th of April who promised to put it right, but nothing happened, and now I'm being told by Yorkshire Water that they won't help me and they don't know how to contact Minster Baywatch? Now I am getting debt collection letters from Minster Baywatch and I have no contract with them. This is all incredibly stressful.
I am in the process of having a water meter installed. Easy process so far including contacting staff who were informative and friendly. Yorkshire Water has reduced monthly payments from £121 (I usually pay that amount monthly for 8 months) to £19 even before the meter has been installed and backdated from April. So far so good.
