Waves Car Wash has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.
Service here has gone down so badly over the past couple of months, to a point I'm now boycotting the whole firm.
My brand new car, one month old, now has two paint chips in my gloss black bumper and the boss firstly wouldn't accept liability then held my keys hostage until I'd paid the full cleaning cost, despite causing obvious damage to my vehicle!
I check my rear bumper every day to ensure my kids havent scratched it with their bags, because this car is my pride and joy!
Had a gold star service done. Was anything but a gold service first and last time using this wash.
The under seal was clearly not wash properly they try to mask it up with some spray but since it was not clean it will not get shine, when asked was the car wash properly I got told they tried it 3 times but the haze comes back that’s coz the car body was not properly washed to start with.
They good if you need a quick clean don’t bother spending too much with them it’s pointless.
Will wash it myself over the weekend.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CAR WASH! Absolutely awful. I paid £120 for an in depth valet and it came out horrendously, broken glass still in the car dust everywhere and even worse they took everything out of my car and kept onto it for a while which I hadn’t realised until I had gone. When I came to get my stuff back one worker had my charger and was using it in his own car! Showed them the dirt and dust and glass and only hoovered my car again no refund or partial refund at all. I will not be going back here.
At ISLEWORTH ..
I went there with my car, outside wash only as the car was brand new 100 miles on dash. WAS charged £20 ridiculous.
When questioned about the expensive price the guy in there was like “ £20 to much for you?” I said I don’t mind paying as long as it done properly.
What a rip off for a poor job as it was left with watermarks everywhere and still dust !!
Overpaid for a service that weren’t done properly rushed and definitely not looked after. Pooor very poor service don’t recommend anyone going there don’t bothered wasting your time & money.
Especially when they are giving you dirty looks and shouting in a different language 100% being rude towards me no doubts. Never ever again I rather go tescos self wash £2 would have done a better job for sure.
Waves carwash Horsham Tescos
Had my truck washed 1pm Tuesday the 2nd of October while I got lunch in Tescos Horsham.
wedding ring was in the cup holder as Im a trades man and thats where I keep it when working. ( wife knows I do this before a 1000 wives cry out in terror and have for 6 years, when cutting and working with metal. )
looked to put it on later that day and it was not there. went back and said maybe the hoover sucked it up as im sure your all very honest. The ring was not found and police informed who did naff all as normal even if cctv showed only two people in the truck. Make up your own minds.
A) I suddenly change my habit of 6 years and moved it
and cant find.
B Harry potter magically put a spell on it to make it
vanish.
C They have a scum bag working for them that I hope
gets run over outside the porn shop getting there 30
quid for a Titanium ring.
you never know Harry might make it re appear !
life lessons, remember not to leave things you care about in cars when getting them washed by others.
I used this car wash today for the first time and popped into Tescos whilst waiting for the car to be washed. When I got home, I realised my house key (which was on my car keys) was missing! It’s impossible for it to fall off and never has with me. I went back and asked the guy for the manager who took my keys when I dropped off the car. I tolld him my house key with a key fob (that has my phone number on it) was missing.. He said he does remember seeing the key on my set of keys (odd as it’s not really distinguishable). I repeated to him I’d call the police to check their cctv. He then went straight to a customers car that had just been washed and ‘found it’ there. He behaved really odd, I told him it was odd it was in another customers car, IF it had fallen off it would be on the floor or picked up and in their office. His explanation was it would have ended up there as he washed that car next. How did one key fall off and end up in someone else’s car.
Super suspicious of their intentions and they were acting really odd. Becareful if you ever take your car there. That’s my first and last time of ever going to one of those washes.
Tesco Caversham Reading.
Best hand car wash I've had done - external. Lots of care taken (2015 Suzuki sx4 cross in silver) and now it gleams. Very impressed and will certainly use again.
Cost £14
Tesco - Wokingham
The price increases over the last few months are a disgrace. Today quoted £30 for inside only for a hatchback (that wasn’t too bad). Making the prices up on the spot, and said it was that price as it’s £40 for inside and out. Asked if outside only would be £10, was told that would be £30 also! Went down the road where prices are much more reasonable for same result. Avoid this place.
Waves. Tesco, Milton, Cambridge.
1. The pricing policy now appears to be informed to the driver after an inspection of the car and an understanding of what was requested to be cleaned, as opposed to the size of the vehicle. For my Kia Nero, the price was £35.
2. I’m the sole user of the car.
3. The rear seats were folded down to accommodate my dog and all bedding removed. The instruction was to wipe over the plastic covering whilst leaving the rear seats folded down and untouched. This was adhered to.
4. The finished clean was good with the exception of the dashboard instrument panel which hadn’t been touched.
5. The £1 coin which is retained in the car for supermarket trolley use had been taken. I did give a £5 tip.
6. Did I say anything once all faults were noticed. No. I just won’t go back.
Tesco carpark, Ipswich. I was looking at the board of prices to see what they offered and an aggressive man approached me "£29". I wasn't given any options at all so the pricing board is pointless!
He wasn't a man of many words but he and his team were pretty rude when speaking with me. I was reluctant to pay so much but figured for that price it would be a really good clean.
HOWEVER. It was clear they had missed loads of spots, the wing mirrors were still covered in dirt, never touched. There were marks all over, especially the windows and wheels. Inside was very much the same, with only the floors being vacuumed. They probably spent about 10-15 minutes between 4 guys 'cleaning' it. It's worth noting I have a Peugeot 308, so not a particularly large vehicle, according to the website it should have been waxed and polished for this price, I certainly didn't see any wax finish and the inside was just skimmed with a cloth! The guy then said "cash only", so it's anyone's guess how much of their takings are declared.
It was a total rip off and they didn't deliver at all on their 'service'.
