Excellent introduction to water no matter how young your baby
The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Progressive and fun
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

Every lesson is enjoyable
Every lesson is enjoyable and the team are flexible when needed. We do cover the same techniques most weeks, so perhaps more variety would make the lessons even better.

Would always recommend Water Babies
We (parents and kiddos) love Water Babies. The staff are great. Really good with communication and keeping us up to date. So lovely to our littles and just love their job. The only reason for the 4stars is because of the cost. It is very expensive but worth it if you can afford it.

From baby to child, great experience
I've been attending these classes with my son for over two years now. Bernie, our teacher, is absolutely amazing and incredibly patient. My son is hyperactive and would always be loud, fidgety and not a good listener for the first year, however he ended up enjoying these classes immensely. It's one of his favourite activities in the week, especially because he gets to swim with a parent. The pool area and water are always warm and for me it feels like a spa sesh. I've recommended Water Babies to everyone I know ❤️

More than just a swimming class
We’ve been attending Water Babies for over two years now, with both our eldest and youngest taking classes. Both girls are very confident in the water and with the classes having such a strong focus on safety, they are also very competent in reaching safety themselves. I imagine many swim lessons are the same though, following a certain syllabus. But what sets Water Babies aside is everything else; the customer service doesn’t even feel like customer service, because you feel like you’re just part of a family. It is next level and they go out of their way to look after you. You can even go to a separate class if you can’t make your allotted slot in the week. Zoe, our teacher, is beyond amazing, and if ever she can’t be there (rarely), the replacement teacher is just as wonderful. Not to mention the incredible team behind the scenes that honestly put you and your family at the centre of all decisions and the way in which your classes are managed. As well as this, we have made lifelong friends with other parents and our children have the best time both in class and at all the extra curricular activities we all do. These classes have changed our lives, and I don’t say that lightly. Our eldest was born during covid and things were hard. These classes have brought so much enjoyment to us all and means we all have a social outing every Saturday morning, with all four of our needs being met (mum, dad and the children). So I really mean it when I say they are more than just swimming classes. Thank you to everyone at Water Babies, you are all incredible and have changed our parenting journey.
