Great teachers!
Kathrin has been an amazing teacher for the last year... Very friendly and engaging with the children and able to lead the lesson so that all the children get to improve and have a good time.
Water Babies receives consistently positive reviews. Customers particularly appreciate professional and service, though some mention concerns about customer service and expensive.

The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.
Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over Β£20 for half hour.

I've been to two classes and the instructor is great. On the less positive side: - the pool is small and quite run down looking. There are inadequate changing areas, forcing everyone to crowd around the narrow edge of the pool. - unfortunately our baby has become unwell this weekend with a cold and we don't think we can/should attend. There is no information about cancellation or postponement available. Surely it's a common "FAQ". Trawling through the onerous T&C, I can only find reference to two-week advance notice requests for up to two catch up classes. The phone number does not answer. So while I'm not exactly sure if the policy is for us to forfeit our prepaid class, it seems that way. What a shame. I wonder if this approach discourages people from keeping unwell and contagious children away?

We enquired about infant swimming lessons when my daughter was 3 months old. We were informed that there was a wait and we would be contacted when a place became available. Months later there was a general email with class a scheduled sent, however all the local pools in our area remained closed following Covid closures. We remained in the list in the hope that these would reopen. I wrote a few follow up emails with no response. I emailed again recently as my daughter is now 2.5 to see if there was a chance of toddler classes as we have been waiting 2 years. I was told she cannot join the toddler groups as she has not completed the infant classes. When I queried this the response was that I was invited to join classes in the past two years (which I wasnβt, I have asked for proof of these emails) and basically itβs my own fault that she now canβt join as I should have joined an infant class. So we have wasted 2 years waiting for a service they are not willing to offer, and the customer service responses deflect blame back the the customer. Donβt waste your time.

Our favourite day of the week is swimming with Kat at Water Babies. My daughter's water confidence and swimming skills have grown through fun, structured and safe lessons. She loves swimming like a mermaid through the water, floating on her back like a star and having fun with all her friends in the pool.

Over priced swimming lessons, as it transpires all the lessons are aimed at making sure the baby can go underwater for the over priced under water photo shoot. Iβd recommend finding your local council pool and going there - you can swim twice a week for the less money.

Water Babies has been an incredible journey for both my 3-year-old daughter and myself over the past year. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed, safe, and super excited to learn. Not only has my little girl gained a massive amount of confidence in the water, but she has also developed essential swimming and safety skills. Witnessing her thrive and genuinely enjoy every lesson has been truly priceless.

We've been going to Water Babies at Bolton One since our little Joshua was 5 weeks old (now 6 months). He absolutely loves it and has come on leaps and bounds since starting. He is confident in the water and goes under without batting an eyelid. He beams from ear to ear throughout his class. Helena is absolutely fantastic as a teacher. So enthusiastic every lesson, knows the children by name and takes genuine interest in them. Classes aren't cheap but worth every penny.

We joined water babies when our daughter was 12 weeks old, we loved the lessons at first and felt she got lots from them, she in turn loves being in the water now! However, recently we have not been happy so have decided to leave. The lessons became very repetitive and our daughter was visibly bored whilst in the water. We also kept losing time in our lesson, entering the pool 5 minutes late but then exiting on our time, over a few weeks this mounts up and considering the cost it's not good. We tried to raise our concerns with water babies but unfortunately there was a lack of communication and after waiting two weeks for a call back decided to go ahead and cancel completely. Our swimming teacher however, was really good and got a lot from our daughter, we just feel she was held back abit in terms of timings and lesson plans. We hope our review could help water babies improve for any future babies
