Excellent introduction to water no matter how young your baby
The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Progressive and fun
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

Underwater photo shoot
We attended an underwater photo shoot when our son was 10 months old. We absolutely loved it and have so many great images. We have another one booked in July for our 5 month old son. We can’t wait.

Love love love it.
Love love love it. My daughter's favourite place, we use the Timperley branch and what can I say my daughter loves Becky, she is the best coach ever! We joined at two months and trust me she is able to float at 10 months( haven't tried without support)

Super lessons, fab teacher
Great swimming class and teacher is fab! Both my girls swim with waterbabies and it’s one of their favourite times of the week. Been swimming with them for over 3 years now. Learning such valuable water safety skills! Having lessons to learn to swim is expensive but so worth it. They are confident in the water and have loads of fun too.

I've LOVED my water babies experience
I couldn't be more positive about the experience I've had with Water Babies. The teachers have been top quality, smiley, confident, knowledgeable, fun, engaging for the babies. Especially Lisa and Amina. And the team surrounding them have been great too, especially Lily! We've been with Water Babies for a while, with both our kids, and we've loved it at all the venues we've been to. It's my highlight of my week with my wee girl now, and I think it's hers too!

Total scam, better to go to your local leisure facilities
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend Water Babies Berkshire. It feels like a bit of a scam. When you sign up, they don’t clearly tell you that you have to give a full month’s notice to cancel, and they’ll just roll you into another term without properly informing you. Even when you do give notice, they won’t confirm whether it’s been received or accepted, which is really frustrating. They also say they offer catch-up lessons if your child misses a class due to illness, but in reality, they rarely offer anything that actually works with your schedule. It all feels very money-driven, with poor customer service and little flexibility. If you’re thinking about signing up—be careful and make sure you get everything in writing. I’d honestly suggest looking elsewhere.

We have absolutely loved our lessons
We have absolutely loved our lessons! Both of my children started between 6 and 12 weeks old. They are now both strong, confident swimmers and they absolutely love the water! The classes are really fun and the teachers are great at engaging them and actually taking time to build a relationship with us which helped my boys build trust and feel secure. It’s a great way to meet people too, I’ve made lots of lovely mum friends through our classes! Would 100% recommend!

A Fantastic Experience with Water Babies – From 8 Weeks to 6 Months Old We’ve been attending Water Babies since our daughter was just 8 weeks old – she’s now 6 months – and it’s been an amazing journey so far. The classes are well-structured, engaging, and led by Michelle who is an incredibly supportive instructor who always make us feel welcome and comfortable. It’s been incredible to see our baby grow in confidence in the water. She now splashes, kicks, and smiles through the sessions – and we’ve noticed how much more relaxed she is during bath time too! A big bonus has been the catch-up tokens, which have been a lifesaver when we've had to miss a class due to sickness or holidays. It’s great to know we don’t lose out and can stay on track. Overall, we couldn’t recommend Water Babies enough. It’s a beautiful bonding experience and has given our little one a wonderful, confident start in the water.
