Excellent introduction to water no matter how young your baby
The swim instructors are fantastic, we had 2 in our time with water babies. From our first lesson when my little one was 6 weeks old to my last session when she was 8 months old. They were kind, helpful & most of all kept us safe in the water whilst having fun and bonding with our babies. It definitely helped my confidence & my little one has always loved the water & isn't scared at all. The only reason for 1 star short of 5 was the venue, because it is a private school it wasn't catered for the usual public swimming. So the changing facilities weren't set up with cubicles, showers, changing tables for babies etc. However, it was very local for us, so we were happy to compromise on this. We could have had lessons further afield with a more formal changing facility but this wasn't practical for us to travel.

Toria the waterbabies instructor at jethen house is absolutely amazing!! She goes above and beyond to make parents and children feel comfortable, supported and heard. Nothing is too much trouble and any concerns you have regarding swimming with your little one is always taken into consideration and the support you didnt even know you needed is alway's given to make you feel confident and ready to swim with you baby. You can really tell the passion she has for waterbabies not only as an instructor but also as a parent who has been through it twice. Im so so glad I chose waterbabies and im so so glad we were put into Torias class.
Progressive and fun
Lessons are progressive and so much fun for me and my daughter. We have been attending since she was 12 weeks old and have no intentions to stop. The confidence gained in just 14 weeks is incredible. Lessons do tend to run late meaning we start later than expected, and this obviously will happen when dealing with children! but I have noticed that our session is occasionally cut five minutes short which is disappointing considering each session is over £20 for half hour.

We love Water Babies
We love Water Babies! Caron and Lily have always given us all the support we needed to find the right class for our little one. They are very professional and friendly! The same with Jo, our son’s swimming teacher, she is excellent! She has always encouraged our Luca and boosted his confidence, by respecting his own way and pace of doing things, to a point that our son started swimming very quickly right after starting her classes! What a great team! Thank you so much Water Babies!

Brilliant Staff- Anne Marie & Zara
My little one started swimming at the Birmingham west hotel when he was only 15 weeks old. He is now 8 months old. His teacher Anne-Marie has been nothing but spectacular and really puts in the effort to know your baby and adapt to their needs and wants . My little one has really grown and learnt so much and I put that down to his swimming as he was very delayed due to being a poorly NICU baby. We had a slight issue with the venue - Mercury Hotel- as the hotel itself was causing issues such as cancellations and generally poor facilities. I phoned water babies office to discuss this and originally cancel as it did become too much of a faf. The lady , Zara, was so understanding and friendly about it , she took the time to listen and understand my point of view. As a result, we are now going to try a different venue for my baby to swim at as me and my little one really enjoy water babies as a whole, it was just a shame an external source ruined that for us . All in all , I want to give a massive appreciation to Anne-Marie and Zara as they are nothing but brilliant in what they do and deserve high praise. You can tell they love their job and care about the babies and parents. Water Babies is an amazing company, I would just recommend choosing a different venue than the Birmingham West !

I'm so glad we joined Water Babies
I'm so glad we joined Water Babies! We've been attending lessons for nearly 3 years now and it has been such a positive experience for my son. The teachers are fantastic - they are caring, attentive and make the lessons fun for the children. We started when he was 8 weeks old and he has since gained confidence in the water and essential safety skills. It's amazing to see your little one confidently hold on to the side of the pool independently and then move along the side to reach the steps. It's such a reassurance to know he is gaining these skills at such a young age plus he has a fabulously fun time. I wouldn't have had the confidence or know-how to teach him these skills myself. The lesson program comes up with clever ways to teach the skills through games and songs, which become familiar favourites. As a reassurance to anyone at this stage, we've had a few 'water wobbles' along the way (I think most do at some point) but these really were just phases and they come out the other side with a renewed confidence. I'm so glad we continued with our lessons through them as it really has paid off now. Huge thanks to our amazing teacher, Gemma - we're so grateful!

Underwater photoshoots
Underwater photoshoots with Water Babies are so unique. My 3 little ones have had a few of these and everytime it has been so special. We love the fact that you get a mini lesson in with your photoshoot which means that for littles ones it is just like coming to a lesson but with the added bonus of getting their special underwater moment captured on photo. The team have always been amazong at every shoot we have been too and my 3 little ones have always felt at ease. I am now looking forward to doing another one very soon.
