I am absolutely appalled by my experience with The Travel House. This company is operating unethically and should be avoided at all costs. They accepted full payment for a booking but failed to issue any e-ticket or booking confirmation. Despite repeated follow-ups, there was no proactive communication from their side. When we finally managed to reach them, we were told the ticket had not been issued, despite the fact that payment had already been taken. To make matters worse, they have not provided any valid evidence of a refund. Every attempt to get a resolution has been met with evasive responses and a complete lack of accountability. This is not just poor service, this is outright fraudulent behaviour. No reputable travel company operates in this manner. I strongly urge others not to trust The Travel House under any circumstances. This has been a deeply frustrating and distressing experience.

Title: Fraudulent Travel Company – Beware of "The Travel House" I was searching for affordable flights on different websites via Skyscanner, I received a call from someone claiming to be a travel agent from "The Travel House". They offered me a flight deal that was significantly cheaper than what I had seen online and asked me to make payment over the phone. Trusting their presentation, I provided my credit card details and was charged £1,556.92 on 29th July. Shortly after the payment was processed, the agent blocked my number and became completely uncontactable. I reached out to The Travel House, who confirmed there was no booking under my name and advised me to report the incident by email and dispute the charge with my credit card provider. The transaction on Credit card appeared as: THE TRAVEL HOUSE LTD WEST DRAYTON +44 208 145 0027 This is a serious complaint against The Travel House for misleading customers, taking payment under false pretenses, and then cutting all contact. I demand accountability and a full refund. This conduct is unacceptable and must be investigated immediately.

Good but...

The price of the ticket seemed good at the time of booking but they defo know where they will get you. The only reason I did not give them five stars is I wish I had booked direct with the airline now because in order to make changes their prices are quite extortionate. I cannot claim to say I will be recommending to family or friends.

Booking Mistake Scammers!

I booked 2 tickets to Bangkok for me and my daughter who has a different surname to me. I double checked all was correct before making payment, after payment went through and I got confirmation I noticed my first name appeared in place of my daughters name on her booking, how the hell could that happen! I immediately contacted The Travel House to get this corrected and was told I would have to pay £75 to change it, but it was not my fault, it was a computer error. They would not admit liability and I paid the £75, so the cheap flights were not so cheap. I wont be using these cowboys again!

Being charged for name correction on my ticket

I booked a return flight from London to Colombo with Sri Lankan Airlines with Travel House yesterday. When I received my e-ticket I noticed that the last part of my surname was missing (I have a long surname made up of three words). I contacted Travel House immediately and asked them to correct my name on the ticket as I don’t want to have any problems checking in. I was then informed that this was possible as long as I paid £150 for this service (I’m pretty certain that I entered my name correctly when I booked my ticket online. I even went back online to check that I could enter my full name and had no problem doing so). I know that Sri Lankan Airlines don’t do name changes, but let you cancel and rebook your ticket free of charge within 24 hours of buying it, but I guess this could be different when booking through an agent. Needless to say I was not happy with this and requested a refund. Again, I was told this was possible as long as I paid £100. As much as I did not want to pay I decided to go for a refund as I have no confidence in an agent with such poor customer service. And another thing: any other travel agent I ever dealt with send a confirmation and ask me to check the details before issuing the ticket and this wasn’t done.
