In maart aan Renewable een opdracht gegeven voor een energielabel en maatwerkadvies. Helaas is het een compleet fiasco geworden. Bij de intake heb ik 3x aan verschillende personen mijn vraag moet uitleggen en pas na enige druk lukte het een afspraak te krijgen. De afgesproken levering binnen 14 dagen is niet door Renewable gerealiseerd en pas na forse druk kwam het label. Het maatwerkadvies is nooit gekomen! Wel kwamen de facturen, deze werden binnen 1 dag na opname gestuurd en ook de herinnering kwamen terwijl de opdracht niet was uitgevoerd. Uiteindelijk de opdracht wegens wanprestratie beëdindigd. NOOIT ZAKEN DOEN MET DIT BEDRIJF. Helaas zijn is 1 ster het minimum maar het zou -1 ster moeten zijn.

On the positive, Barrie is a real asset to the company and goes above and beyond, however, that is the only positive. I should have followed my gut instincts and cancelled this contract as soon as things failed to go according to plan, I would have saved myself a lot of stress. I would strongly urge you to ignore any response that the director, Matt Walker, may provide as he obviously needs to protect his company but he alone is the biggest problem as he truly believes that he can run his company as he sees fit, regardless of regulation and legislation and the customer's view is irrelevant to him!
This is a small company in Essex who uses contractors to complete installations. They do not have contractors in West Wales and the contractors they used for my installation (from South Wales) had not installed this system before.
They advertise that the workmanship is protected by HIES but they have moved away from these insurers and are now with IWA. This is not reflected on their website. I still don't have a copy of my warranty and my installation took place 4 months ago.
I would put this review on Which too to warn others as they were a Which Trusted Installer but I can't find them on there anymore despite them advertising as such
I took a great deal of time reviewing the companies prior to my decision to proceed with this company and built up a good relationship but this changed instantly when I put in a formal complaint having been messed about at every stage. I saw Matt's true colours then as I asked for compensation!! He is not a nice person and is not competent in project management. Yes, it is actually the Director who organises the work and if he's not there nothing happens!
If I had known this at the outset I would not have gone with this company as I can't imagine they will be around to support the lifetime of my system and you really need them as Sigen is Business to Business.
My advice would be save yourself a lot of stress and hassle and use a competent company.
Note: The negative review just before mine seems to be from the electrician who commissioned my system. The original electrician had not installed a Sigen before and spent quite a bit of time on the phone to their installers helpline. He was not sick but was unable to provide a date when he could return to finish the job. Matt then contacted Paul to get him to finish the job. One of the delays I experienced was because the scaffolders failed to arrive when planned. I wouldn't be surprised if Matt played the same stunt on them which is why he received an email the day of the planned scaffolding erection to say they wouldn't be coming. He told me it was because it was too far 🤔
Back Last October Matthew from The Renewable Energy Company called us asking for help in west wales. His current electrician fell ill and left them needing an electrician half way through a job. We agreed to help for a cost of £850.00. We attended site and finished the install and commissioned it. We also had to buy £250.00 worth of additional installation consumables. After we issued the commissioning details, we didn’t hear from him and now doesn’t answer the phone. Companies like these make me sick!

I have been extremely pleased with my solar installation. I was advised by the TREC associate and given all of the options in my budget. I had done a fair amount of research before hand so was vaguely familiar with what I wanted to achieve. I was very pleasantly surprised with what I was able to have installed as TREC was very competitive against other quotes. All of the calculated outputs have been met or exceeded and my combined bills have fallen from £390 a month down to less than £125 averaged over the year. There were one or two teething problems but these were solved by the technical engineers with over the air software updates. TREC has been at the end of the phone to answer all of my newbie questions and the ones they couldn’t answer right away were answered as soon as they got the info
From the first contact with Sean Fuller, I knew this company was the right choice. I was given many tech options and each one was as explained.
Sean informed me that their fitters were the best and he wasn’t wrong! Connor and his team did an amazing job of the install. Discussing options for the kit, keeping me informed and a demo at the end. I can rate the company and installers highly enough!

Just had my solar and battery array installed, by the renewable energy company, the sales and management team , are all helpful and professional, the installation team very polite and professional, and a good standard of work, the company kept me up to date throughout the whole process.
I judge a company on how they react when there is a problem. Installation and commercial part went ok. Things went wrong when I asked for a follow up service back in November 2023. Luke said it was possible. I chased multiple times and it was never done. I was very patient as I waited till February before I hired a different company to do the job. I felt I was not treated seriously and I lost my trust in this company’s ability to do any client servicing.
FURTHER CLARIFICATION POST COMPANY REPLY:
Contrary to what is written below, I have tried to find a resolution via both emails and phone. Similarly, though Luke was my main contact, I reached out to others via email in the company who made the choice not to take action/escalate (e.g. Georges).
