Do not register with this gym unless you walk there! I was a member of Gym Group Bury St Edmunds then due to change of work location, started using the Ipswich gym on Cardinal Park instead. On another gym opening and me switching to that gym, I was inundated with parking fines from EuroPark carparks for dates months back. At the Gym you are required to enter your registration on entering, this was a religious part of my routine yet 3 of the 5 or 6 fines were all within the same week. On receiving these fines months after the date of the false parking offences, I reached out to the gym for evidence of attendance which I could no longer get through the app after cancelling membership. I am now having to go to court to defend my claim for over £1000 which was due to a clear fault in the equipment of the parking company and/or gym group and the gym group have ignored all my requests for attendance and CCTV evidence since. The gym is average, the staff in the gym are excellent but the parking experience and the court attendance and potential fines should be enough to know to go somewhere else as this isn't the kind of stress that's needed because the gym cant be bothered to respond to the requests sent

The only gym I've joined (a lot) where the place closes annually for 2 whole days to update, really necessary? Other gyms work around this and dont shut up shop. They close Boxing day , also unnecessary as its often not manned . Inconsiderate people that dont put weights back, young kids in groups hogging machines . Always training courses in the studio when you want to use it
Alton the Personal Trainer has been getting many of his friends and family to write reviews for him to make him look good. He is 53 years old trying to date girls customers of the Gym aged 26 and any girl or women who gives him any time of day He was a father and Partner of 10 years until unprofessional inappropriate messages to numerous women at Shepards Bush Gym was uncovered end of July 25. Messages Including to vulnerable women who confided in him as a friend who was at the gym to make their lives better. He lures women and girls in by Giving free PT sessions in the hope of getting intercourse. He is On TAG. Check his leg. He has been reported to managers in Wembly Branch who in the end had to move him to Shepards Bush branch because of his inappropriate behaviour. The Area Manager Taylor has not suspended him while she investigates and she has had customer complaints but not taken anything seriously, instead has been protecting Alton. Be aware if you have any morals or care for women and children.
I was charged a £15 late fee after missing one payment on time due to my father’s recent cancer diagnosis. Despite explaining the situation, I only received automated bot email responses shutting down my request and eventually after having emailed and called a couple of times, I finally received a very late and dismissive response from customer service (Sahra) with no compassion or flexibility. I have never missed a payment before. Policies are one thing, but good customer service means using discretion and empathy when people face real difficulties. Very disappointing and lacking in empathy. Be warned, it’s almost impossible to reach a human being if you have an issue to report.
The gym is ok but it need a upkeep on the cleanliness as I see the cleaner walking around wiping surfaces people are not even touching but not the equipment being used by multiple people a day. Machines need to be wiped down regularly but I never see this and mats are full of bits not being hooverd or sweeped.
The gym group used to be very good value bit since the pandemic, the quality of the gyms has declined. I have visited multiple branches and the gyms are a mess, they have become overcrowded even at 5am. The quality of the people/customers has always taken a hit while the price has gone up. I have also worked at the Gym Group, as PT and customer service team and I can confirm that overall this company is not worth your money. After 2 months, I am cancelling my membership.

Had a guest pass, didn’t work when I arrived, no one to help let us in straight away rang the call bell eventually a girl turned up. Then did my workout which was fine lots of equipment to choose from, when I was ready to leave I couldn’t get out with my code, went to find the girl who let me in to be told it would be 20 minutes as she was in the middle of a class and couldn’t leave. It was ok for the other 20 odd people using the gym downstairs to be left on their own though! She said if we weren’t happy to complain to the manager. Where were they? Only one member of staff on! This is unacceptable! Not happy 😡 This is a brand new gym not a great impression!
Overcrowded and dirty and they tried to charge me £15 (nearly the cost of a month) administation fee because the direct debit didnt come out, what they couldnt just try again in 3 days, what about that is gonna cost £15? Membership cancelled, direct debits cancelled and i'm gonna join a more reputable gym.
After fighting my way through adverse weather I finally arrived to my gym in Walthamstow and it was closed. I didn't get any notifications. No emails, texts or calls to warn me not to go there after work in the rain and wind. Very unprofessional and low level of communication. As soon my first month is done I will cancel my membership.
All the staff are so helpful , it’s a great atmosphere I always look forward to going. Classes are great and so is the gym . 5 stars
