The Gym Group

I have been going to the gym group for about 5 months now and i was always very anxious about doing the classes there so i starting doing a legs bum and tum class every Saturday with one if there PT’s Dan and i have to say it is one of my favourite classes! Dan is very knowledgeable on what he teaches in his class. He always pushes you do them best you can and helps you improve on your weaknesses. He is a very cheeky chap and very easy to get along with which just makes you want to keep coming back week after week. He also goes out of his was to see how your getting in when he sees you in the gym which is lovely added extra 💯 the best LBT classes i have done #keep being you and keep pushing your doing a great job

For the price. Okay, they’re fine. But the decline in cleanliness over the years is wild. No spray or wipes to wipe anything down & the benches are constantly covered in sweat. I also find it weird they’ve taken away water drinking fountains & now charge £2.59 for water if you’ve forgotten your bottle. I’m now paying an extra £20 for a better gym as the standard just keeps going down

I have contacted them to cancel my membership, received confirmation email of successful cancellation of it, month later I’m being charged again £26.99, can’t login to my app as they have removed my access, but still they feel okay to charge me. I have contacted your support and I’m awaiting asap resolution with refund!

I really enjoy these classes and now go to 3 a week, with Pilates, lifting and strength sessions. I’ve had classes taught by Suzie, Godfred and Osman - and highly recommend!!!

Forget this place, far to busy and crowded. Yes they have an app and its always busy. Anything over 50 people and you’re likely to have a very poor session. Its more of a social fitness centre rather than a gym, great equipment, but too many people here to be able to use it to any set routine. You just have to make do training how ever you can, Would not recommend this place for those who want to train seriously, or have a workout routine to monitor progress, You wont be able to do that here. I walked out so many times due to how busy it was, i decided to cancel my membership and go else where. If you just want to do a bit of everything with no real training program, just for something to do, or to say you go to the gym, this place will suit you, definitely not a place for serious training.

£15 admin fee cos you tried to take my membership several days early. Canceled!

If you like to train under constant anxiety this gym is ideal for you! I have been issued a fine for parking, even when I correctly entered my vehicles number plate at recption. Gym staff were informed but they don't seem to care about this. On the other hand, the equipment is average at the most. There is a lack of plates to use, so you must traverse around the huge soviet looking factory before you can train.

I really like the contrast between the free weights and the machines. The set up is perfect for me. The vibes in the gym are always positive and i also mix it it up with some classes in the morning. And the staff of course are very helpful and friendly, including the manager Lutalo who is is great and always makes you feel welcome. Enough said.

Classes r great, equipment is always clean and even when busy you can get on something. Staff are fab and always willing to help. I’ve been a member a four months now and no regrets.

I have been issued four fines, supposedly because I did not register on time; however, I would like to clarify that the parking service was not functioning properly, and many of us customers were also fined. We have appealed and provided evidence, and all appeals were rejected, just because we must follow The Gym Group's instructions. The instructions at that time were a sign in a corner with no visibility to the customer, and furthermore, the full message could not be read. In short, the incident management by The Gym Group is being paid for by us, the customers. Unfair..."

Zero customer service. Have to practically beg to speak to a live person on their live chat!

I paid for a 6‑month membership as a student and never managed to access the gym the code provided didn’t work. I contacted The Gym Group several times by email, asking for help and even a refund, but nobody ever replied. It’s been months with no support or response. Very disappointing and feels like a scam. Be careful before giving them your money.

Never joining this gym ever again.

It’s an amazing gym lots of equipment that I can use to get stronger love the gym it’s very well made.

I was doing some cardio on the gym around 00:50AM and was hot / sweating so I decided to go outside to cool down for a few minutes . The tempreature was 12 degrees centigrate outside at the time . Spent a few miutes outside then tried to reenter the gym jus to find myself locked out . I only give 1 s tart because if I could I would give at least -10 stars . I have beed trying to get back into the gym for almost and hour , trying to enter my pin code but it just flashes red . Tried to contact anyone through the intercom 7-10 time no answer at all. Looks like health and safety and well bieng of people is not a priority . All my clothes house keys are insdie the gym but I cant get back inside , no assistanse available . I tired asking someone who went inside to talk to the cleaner and ask her to open the door for me , they guy I asked did that and I was ingonered , 20-30 minutes later the same guy I asked came near the front door and I spoke to him through the glass , he said the cleaner told him that I should call someone at 00:50 am , while nobody is working . I said to him talk to the cleaner again and tell her in need to take my medicine eventuly she came out and let me back into the gym after almost and hour of me trying to get in . I was forced to be in tempreature near 25 degrees celcius below my body tempreature for almost an hour , this is grotesque. No access to water even . How was I supposed to get home with no keys in 12 C tempreature when I live half and hour away by foot . I tired entering my pin maybe a dozen times , even checked on my phone that im entering the right pin . Very stressful , ruined my whole day . Felt very cold standing there for that long . Was starting to feel that I would go into hypothermia .

The overall feeling and experience of the gym is good, the equipment does its job and the place is always in good nick. Although not having one myself, the PT’s such as Alex are all very nice and understanding which always helps!

Today coach Leon an extremely good mentor of HIIT class which I have to say was extremely good . He had clear teaching methods and I revised them perfectly. I am very impressed with how his class went today . I'm strongly recommending his class and methods of work 10/10 Anna- Maria
