I dealt with Natalie Badland in the Kidderminster office. She was brilliant. Great service, always responded swiftly to any emails or telephone queries. I would thoroughly recommend her and the firm generally.
Myself and my Parter were dealt with by Sean and Kelly during our purchase of our first property! They were both really helpful and supplied all the relevant documents and completed all the enquiries very quickly. We used Talbots for our recent house purchase and we have found them to be excellent. They made the process extremely easy, with fast and easy to understand communications and no unnecessary delays. We used a different solicitor for our house sale and we wish we’d known about Talbots before as we would have definitely used them!

I was referred to Talbots by the estate agent Connells for Conveyancing on a flat purchase. The staff I talked to, both over email, were friendly, helpful and were happy to answer my awkward 'Explain this in more detail because I know nothing' first time buyer questions. I was kept up date throughout the process, and even received an unprompted email part way through a quiet period reassuring me that they were still chasing information from the seller’s solicitor. I did find myself with what I consider to be a couple of points for improvement. The first is that as part of my welcome pack I opted to be referred to a surveyor, to have a survey of the property done before purchase. While I suspect that the actual delay was an issue at the surveyor, it would have been nice to have an email from Talbots confirming that I had been referred, and giving me some expectation of timescales so I'd know when to start chasing. As it was the survey wasn't completed until right before exchange of contracts. Second right at the end of the process I received a draft completion statement. While normally I would simply have appreciated this as another example of keeping me informed, it was accompanied by a form letter that as someone on the mild end of the autistic spectrum, I found incredibly misleading. This form letter differed from the version sent with the actual completion statement by only a single sentence at the top reiterating it’s nature as a draft statement. The confusion arose from the following line existing further down, ‘As there is often only a week or less between exchange of contracts and completion, you may prefer to send me the full balance at this stage.’ As there was only around 2 weeks until my targeted completion date at this point, you may understand the why I was confused as to whether or not they wanted me to act on the draft statement in some way. Despite the above points however the experience was on the whole painless, and I would not object to using Talbots Law again.
