Extremely frustrating booking experience and no support

I had a terrible experience trying to book a SunExpress ticket for my father. I used my American Express card, which their website claims is accepted, but the payment failed twice—yet I was still charged both times. Each time I got an error message saying, “There was a problem with the payment registration,” and no ticket was issued. I contacted their customer service over web chat, and they just told me to try again or wait for a refund within 10 business days—no urgency, no real help. The second time I tried to book, the ticket price had increased, and to make matters worse, AmEx still didn’t work, so I ended up having to use a different card just to secure the ticket. In the end, I called them directly, hoping that could solve the issue faster and I could get the ticket from the original price I first paid, but they said they only make bookings with a Visa or Master card. SunExpress offered no compensation or price adjustment for their system failure. Very disappointed. A simple ticket booking should not take two hours of your time!

Sun Express sayesinde hayatimda ilk defa 2 kücük cocukla 2 saat boyunca check-in sirasinda beklemis oldum. Sira bize gelince online check-in yapmadigimiz icin ücret talep ettiler. Bana gönderdikleri linkten defalarca check-in yapmayi denedigim halde check-in yapamamistim oysa. Ücret ödemeyi kabul ettim ama bu sefer kredi karti onaylanmadi ve nakit ödeme yapamayacagimi söylediler ve ucagin kapanmak üzere oldugunu söyleyip beni iki kücük cocuk ve valizlerle ödeme yapmam icin baska yere gönderdiler. Ordandan ödemeyi yapinca tekrar ilk sirada durdugumuz yere valizleri vermemiz icin geri gönderdiler. Iki saat sirada beklememizin nedenini ucaklarin cok olmasina bagladilar 😂 “All international flights” yerine Diger ülkeler gibi sehir sehir check-in yapsaniz hem bu kadar Sira olmaz hem de dolmusa müsteri arayan muavin gibi “Duabi passengeeers??” “Hannover passangeeers?” Diye ortaliklarda gezmek zorunda kalmazsiniz. Sanki sorunca da oralara gidecek yolculara faydaniz oluyor. Umarim siz de diger ülkeler gibi yakinda bir sistem ve düzene Sahip olursunuz. Bir de 522 numarali kasanin Yaninda oturan örgülü sakalli ukala görevliniz yanlis is secmis. Insanlari hem olmayacak kadar strese sokup hem de yolcunuz ucaga yetismek zorunda oldugunu aciklamaya calisirken insani azarlayamazsiniz!

SunExpress beeindruckt mich immer mehr

SunExpress beeindruckt mich immer mehr. Ich habe heute, dank blödem Autofill meines Browsers, bei mir und meinem Partner den gleichen Namen gehabt. Ich habe kurzerhand direkt bei SunExpress angerufen und wurde sehr freundlich begrüßt, in klarem Deutsch und sehr lösungsorientiert und beruhigend. Der Herr entschuldigte sich vielmals, mich hat warten zu lassen (das waren vielleicht 90 Sekunden) und kam mit einer guten und schlechten Nachricht. Die schlechte, der Name ließe sich nicht ändern aber die gute, er storniert die Buchung einfach und ich kann neu buchen. Einfach zuvorkommend und kulant. So stelle ich mir das vor. Achja, dann war ich im Laufe des Tages nochmal im Chat, weil ich für unser Kleinkind ein Babybett haben wollte. Die Chatpartnerin Merve war ebenfalls sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Nicht 0815 Textbausteinmäßig wie bei Am---on oder ähnlichen. Daher heute vollste Zufriedenheit dank dieser zwei wundervollen Mitarbeiter. Macht bitte so weiter. Mich habt ihr als Reisegast gebunden ♥

Merhaba , genel olarak olumlu bakabilirim SunExpres e, çünkü ülkemizde maalesef alternatif havayolu nerdeyse yok, müşteri yorumlarındaki 'gerçekçi' olan eleştirlere göre gerekli düzenlemeleri yapmanız çok önemli, özellikle ailelerin mağduriyeti ile ilgili, bir de çok basit olan uçuş yaklaştığında mail/mesajla bilgi vermeyi lütfen öncelik edinin, küçük dokunuşlar size büyük verimlilik olarak geri dönecektir, iyi çalışmalar diliyorum .

Terrible website

Terrible website. always problematic while booking and check-in. I fly frequently with SunExpress and I like the way they serve during the flight. And the destinations work well for me as someone living in Antalya. But I have no clue why they keep going with this website and app. So annoying. I was about to give up trying to buy that ticket after 6 of my and my wife's cards were declined.

Arogante und sehr schlecht oder gar nicht ausgebildetes SunExpress BodenPersonal

Wir haben heute für unsere Reise nach Antalya den online check in gemacht, plätze reserviert und bezahlt. Der Typ am CheckIn Schalter wo wir die Koffer aufgegeben haben ca 23:00 Köln/Bonn, war besonders unfreundlich und unverschämt. Trotz dass wir ihm gesagt haben, dass wir bereits Plätze online reserviert und bezahlt haben wollte er noch nicht mal die Bestätigungen sehen. "Es würde ihn nicht interessieren." Welch arogante Typen. Denken die dass die etwas besonderes sitzen, weil die Koffer annehmen dürfen????? So ein misst. Das war das letzte Mal mit dieser SunExpress und zugleich mit dem Reiseveranstalter Alltours. Eigentlich -100 Sterne. Unverschämt, respektlos usw usw. Uns fehlen die Worte....

Review of SunExpress and their web / online / check-in experience

Booked return flights from Birmingham to Dalaman. Each flight was slightly delayed in taking off but arrived ahead of schedule which was good. Unfortunately, however the online experience was nothing short of awful. I received an e-mail and text message a day or two before departing Birmingham saying I could check-in for our departure flight. I got as far as reserving & paying for 2 seats but then couldn't progress any further. However, strangely, I received an e-mail with a booking confirmation & a link for me to print our documents - what I thought would be our Boarding Passes. However, the link didn't work at all. So we turned up at Birmingham for our departure & the check-in operative said I hadn't checked in & she attempted to charge me for her having to do it on my behalf. I explained it was the Sun Express website which prevented me from completing the check-in process although I had been charged for the seats I'd reserved & this transaction had been completed so something must have been registered ? There was a SunExpress rep on hand & I explained to him about the problems I'd had. In the end the operative checked us in without charge and printed our Boarding Passes. I had exactly the same problem whilst in Turkey trying to check us in for our return flights from Dalaman. I tried 2 days before departure and the day before departure neither of which worked although, again, I had managed to reserve and pay for 2 seats together and this transaction completed. I received a similar e-mail with a link for me to print our documents but which again didn't work. The Hotel staff where we stayed were very kind & tried to check us in using their own computer but which also failed. The person at the hotel who did this for us said the SunExpress website was renowned for not being good and having problems. Had the same issues at the check-in desk in Dalaman - the operative wanted to charge me but didn't in the end after she suggested I download the SunExpress app to my phone. Unsurprisingly, after scanning the QR code from a SunExpress notice at the check in desk for me to download the app to my phone, this didn't work either. The operative checked us in free of charge & printed our boarding passes. I'm giving a 3-star score because the flights arrived ahead of schedule and the flight crew were good & the planes clean etc. The SunExpress online experience was extremely challenging and poor to say the least and will be a factor when if / when I decide to book flights to Turkey again. SunExpress is a partnership between Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, both of which are big names in the airline industry. They should both be embarrassed with what they expect customers to put up with via the SunExpress online experience.

⸻ Titel: Nie wieder SunExpress – ein Flugerlebnis, das mir Angst gemacht hat

Ich bin dieses Jahr zum ersten und letzten Mal mit SunExpress in die Türkei und zurück geflogen – zwei Erwachsene und ein zehnjähriges Kind. Die Erfahrung war erschütternd. Schon beim Einsteigen merkt man: Die Sitzplätze sind extrem eng – wer etwas größer oder schwerer ist, hat einfach keinen Platz. Das ist nicht nur unangenehm, sondern auch gefährlich im Notfall. Die Crew war auf Hin- und Rückflug kaum präsent. Nicht unfreundlich, aber auch nicht hilfsbereit – sie war einfach nicht da. Kein Gefühl von Betreuung oder Sicherheit, wie man es auf einem Flug erwarten würde, schon gar nicht mit Kind. Das Schlimmste aber war das Flugverhalten: Beim Start wurden die gesamte Startbahn ausgereizt, der Steigflug war wackelig und alles andere als ruhig. In der Luft ein ständiges Hin- und Herschleudern, auf Hin- und Rückflug. Die Landung war hart, und ich war einfach nur froh, wieder festen Boden unter den Füßen zu haben. Ich frage mich ernsthaft, wie gut diese Piloten ausgebildet sind – zwei verschiedene Crews, beide Male dasselbe Gefühl von Unsicherheit. Es war nicht ein einziges Mal das Gefühl da, dass man in sicheren Händen ist. Für mich absolut inakzeptabel. Nach dieser Erfahrung werde ich in Zukunft ganz genau prüfen, mit welcher Airline ich fliege – und SunExpress wird ganz sicher nicht mehr dabei sein. Lieber buche ich gar nicht, als nochmal dieses Risiko einzugehen – vor allem nicht mit einem Kind.

Waardeloos

Waardeloos! Online inchecken via iDeal 2 keer gedaan. Vanaf 11 uur mee bezig tot 16:52 uur. Gebeld via een receptioniste der telefoon en zeggen ze iDeal werkt niet sorry, moet met creditcard. Dus cc van mijn broer mogen gebruiken. Toen problemen met invoeren paspoort gegevens, vraagt om visum is niet nodig. Daarna downloaden boardingspassen niet mogelijk. Kortom 3 keer betaald voor inchecken en stoel keuze en een hele vakantiedag naar de knoppen. Nooit meer met sunexpress!!

Achtung vor dieser Fluggesellschaft, bei den vielen Bewertungen hier bestätigt sich unsere Vermutung, das hinter dem nicht funktionierenden Online-Check-In eine Masche steckt. Außerdem gibt es keinerlei Möglichkeit dieses Geld zurück zu erhalten. Also wir machen um diese Fluggesellschaft zukünftig einen riesen Bogen!
