Supportive and friendly
The people we dealt with were all accommodating and helpful. We had rented the car for just under a month, collecting it at the Auckland Airport location and returning it at Christchurch Airport. We ran into an issue with a flat tyre while travelling the West Coast of South Island and SNAP were quick to help us resolve the issue. The staff were all polite, especially those who helped us in resolving the problems we encountered. While we booked through a third party, SNAP were still accommodating. This is not unique to SNAP but if travelling around New Zealand in general, some of the roads can be unsuitable for smaller vehicles especially, and therefore I would highly recommend getting insurance for peace of mind. As mentioned, we encountered an issue with a flat tyre where a storm the night before had left large debris on the road and the tyre required replacing, wherein a tow was also required. All of this was unforeseen, and SNAP helped us figure out next steps but I would also recommend getting insurance to avoid being caught out, or at the very least make sure what is covered by the insurance package you are purchasing. Thanks to those at SNAP who helped us navigate what could have been a really stressful situation!
