We have used Setfords on a number of occasions for selling properties. Anna Nuttall and the team made the whole process very easy. We were updated frequently and any queries we had were swiftly answered. Just a very easy and pleasant process overall.
Karen was excellent! She was super responsive and helped with any questions we had as first time buyers. The whole experience was so smooth and speedy, would highly recommend Karen and Setfords!
Been professional throughout and completely transparent. Also, the response times to reply to emails is excellent.
Was initially disappointed that the whole starter pack needed to be printed out, signed and posted back. I did everything in 2 hours, and posted a file an inch thick the same day. Paid £1000 just to open the file. Rang at the end of the following day to check they had received it OK, but it turns out she doesn't work Thursdays. Never received any confirmation of receipt of all of the documents. Rang to check in a week later, turns out she didn't work Tuesday either. Was told that my case was being dropped and they cannot divulge the reasons why. I wonder how long they would have left it if I didn't call up. Still I have no correspondence to say they will no longer act for me. Disappointed that there was no online portal, no acknowledgements or updates and absolutely devastated that I have lost another week and wasted my time with a conveyancer who can't take the job on. I have been told my deposit will be refunded minus their ID check fees, but it's not clear how much I have lost and right now I'm still out of pocket.

Ernesto was extremely efficient, proactive and I always had confidence that he was acting in my best interests. He communicated with me regularly and I never felt that I had to chase or push for action as Ernesto was so thorough and professional. I will be advising friends and family to use Ernesto for conveyancing and Setfords for all legal requirements.

I can't thank Victoria (Vicky) Butcher enough for her patience, tenacity, knowledge and expertise in getting a very challenging sale & purchase completed for me in January. The other parties were extremely non-responsive to her enquiries throughout, estate agents rude and constantly misleading, and yet Vicky took it all in her stride & never stopped pushing for answers and results. If I'd used the same conveyancers my buyer had, I'd have never got my sale over the line, so thank goodness for Setfords who knew what they were doing. Anyone considering Setfords should ask for Vicky who responds to emails almost instantly, always answers phone calls, and even researched into my questions while on annual leave (which of course isn't expected, yet I was very grateful). And most of all, you can trust her to be honest & truthful. An absolute star & I can't thank her enough, or recommend her more highly, to anyone.

I have been passed from pillar to post, I am now on my third lawyer. The first time I was given one week’s notice that my transaction was being handed over due to my first lawyer’s holiday followed by an extended leave of absence for a hospital procedure, which is understandable. However, the second time I have been handed over to a third lawyer with less than 12 hours notice by email and with no explanation. The overall communication has been really poor. I have not had phone calls or emails returned for several days. I am now very torn between trying to complete our transaction with the Setfords team, who should have the history of our transaction or moving to another firm for better service.
