Well planned holiday with good trips. Excellent food and staff service
Great in every department. Will do it again. Amazingly good organised.
All inclusive holiday very good. No hidden costs. The variety of tours was excellent and the quality too of a high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Scenic.
We found the cruise disappointing. The staff were all lovely, polite and helpful, the room was kept clean and tidy and it was well organized. The food was good. The guides were all excellent. However pictures in the brochure were misleading. We only "cruised" for one afternoon where we could see the scenery we mostly travelled at night. Our cabin was also above the engine room and the bed actually shook at night. We thought we were booking an up market luxury cruise but it honestly felt more like a holiday camp. The photo in the brochure shows a couple at a table with space all around being served by a waiter. We were all crammed into the dining area with so little space you could hardly walk between the tables.

The staff are great. Everything is included. The beds are very comfortable. The food is good too. The only thing that let down a five star review is the way an incident with finding glass in my yoghurt was handled, only the cruise director seemed concerned. The chef, restaurant manager and hotel manager less so even though they told me they had investigated thoughrouly the attitude was not up to my usual expectations of Scenic staff.

Just returned from Danube trip and this is a hard review to write, So many positives with some nasty negatives. Firstly lets be completely honest this is not a cruise its a tour and sadly the hotel is tired and there is a lack of attention to detail. Dressing gowns badly worn with holes under the arms. Sure they changed them but the fact is they should never have been put out. The bathroom door closer was hanging off and needed an urgent repair. Again this was rectified but why was this not addressed before the Room was handed over to a guest. We paid for a top floor room and it was so small two people struggle to get dressed at the same time. We specifically chose the Scenic Crystal for the Balcony and what a complete disaster and waste of money. The Boats moor and tie up along side each other plunging the room into darkness and making the balcony unusable unless you want to look into the rooms of people on the next boat. This totally obscured any view from your room. It may state this somewhere in the small print but it is certainly not advertised. The excursions are very limited on time and although the guides are enthusiastic being spoken at not stop for 4 hours at a time is draining to the point more is missed than absorbed. There is a complete lack of flexibility regarding food timing. Sure you can order something to have in your room if you don't want to be compelled to comply with the strict times for Breakfast, Lunch and Diner. Please note the food is mostly good and caters for all tastes. There are many more negatives but I think most people will understand what I am trying to get across. On the positive side the staff are wonderful and attentive and can only be praised for the service they provide. Information is provided on a daily basis and can also be accessed through the TVs in your room so no one should miss anything however on departure there is a feeling of being thrown out. Back to the dressing gowns these are removed from your room on the day prior to departure so anyone wanting a shower simply has a towel which is not really an issue but the fact that people pay to use these items for the full duration of their trip and not for 6 days out of the 7 they are on board. The level of service tails off at this point. Less waiters in the dining room and fewer drinks waiters in the bar. The new guests seem to be far more important that those departing and being kicked out of my expensive but very small room at 8.00am when my coach pick up is not due untill midday and my flight home not due until 5.00pm gives a feeling of a cheap package holiday in Benidorm. Transfers to and from the airport are good. Would I recommend a river tour? the answer is no. In summary I visited Vienna, Budapest and Salzburg and want to go back and spend more than 4 hours in each place. I could make an individual trip to each of these places for 3 or 4 days at a time and spend a lot less on hotels, flights and food than the Danube boat trip cost me. Make your own mind up but remember the marketing and promotion over exaggerate what is actually delivered.

We really enjoyed the cruise on Scenic Eclipse, the ship the staff cannot be faulted However, the journey there and back let it down. If you are of an older generation with any mobility issues, consider carefully. Although Scenic in London advised we would be able to get directly on ship, but not our cabin, this did not happen. On disembarkation, although wheelchair was promised from ship to transport, did not happen Long wait at airport, got us off ship too early and then had to wait for check in Once again cruise wonderful and you can choose yourself whether the excursion are for you or not but beware journey to and from ship if you have mobility issues

Not what I thought it would be. Cabins are lovely, sun deck poor, only 6 sun loungers and no pool only two hot tubs which were quite shabby. Bar service patchy and not fully manned. No shower/changing room available. Limited access to outside space so not really suited to med cruises. Staff generally lovely - although it does seem as though you work around them rather than the way it ought to be. It didn’t feel as though the hotel side of the cruise was partially well run. Restaurant offer is very misleading….. only allowed to make one booking for the whole trip and even though we requested to be on the wait list - that doesn’t happen unless you make a fuss, which you don’t want to do. Poor communication to clients, and often differed from instructions on the day. Grand Prix experience is over priced …. Charged £1250 for tickets that cost 850 euros …… for a bus journey and being frog marched to the stand. Not even a programme included. Also different prices for everybody which left a bad taste for lots of people. The so called F1 upgrade was exactly the same as other groups on the cruise….. not good. I wonder why we weren’t sent the customer feed back forms, even after we asked twice for them…….

Great attention to detail. Getting our excursions sorted into the correct groups. Administering timely care for my damaged hand. We managed to do an awful lot in the holiday that was possibly beyond what we thought possible in the time frame. We had a great time. I am also sorry that we did not review earlier, but with the two plane flights and the exhaustion from jet lag, plus getting the garden to rights after our absence, we have only just recovered!

As usual having used Scenic a number of times, ocean and river, we could not have been looked after better. The whole team just cannot do enough to make the experience amazing. I would recommend Scenic in a heartbeat.
