I have travelled with RSD a few times and have never had a bad experience. An excellent way of seeing a country at an affordable price.
Went to Sri Lanka with RSD - fantastic countryside, amazing friendly people, good hotels and an amazing journey around the country in all its guises - one of the best trips of my life (I travel 10 mths a year) - why so good - people, no hassles of any kind going out, low cost economy, wonderful weather - an absolute gem of a holiday full of variety with something for everyone.
We had a wonderful holiday seeing so many UNESCO sites in Kosova, North Macedonia, Montenegro & Albania. Except for the last one, which was a little bit "Soviet era", the hotels were lovely with excellent food, very comfortable indeed. Our Turkish guide Gdoikca went above & beyond to help all passengers on her coach, even rescuing a hearing aid, which had fallen out in Cafe Mozart in Budva, Montenegro & organising for someone to drive it to our hotel at least 2 hours away so we had it before the coach left next morning.

EXTREMELY DISATISFIED. Having previously booked numerous holidays with RSD and been totally satisfied. I was astonished when I had to cancel my most recent booking to Cyprus due to a very close family bereavement the week before we were due to leave. We immediately contacted RSD repeatedly but they reacted without any compassion and just referred us to their terms and conditions in which there was no reference to extenuating circumstances. We would have thought our holiday could have been transferred to the same holiday at a later date as they are still advertising the same holiday for May. We have received absolutely no satisfaction to our suggestion, in other words "you've paid in full tough luck " We WILL NEVER BOOK with RSD again they have absolutely no compassion or sympathy for our situation and would advise everyone to think twice before booking with them.

Not sure I'll be using RSD again. I tried to book RSD's Cyprus trip. The initial email was cheaper than their invoice. It wasn't a great deal of money and would have happily paid the extra, but worth pointing out. Such an unpleasant experience when I queried the discrepancy. I've decided to cancel. Very difficult to feel confident travelling with a company, especially during these difficult times, if this is their level of customer service.

Been on 2 Turkey tours 1 both had excellent guides, busy itineraries, up at 5.30am departing 7.30am a few times, worth it to see so much. Large smart hotels, huge choice buffet meals, interesting people to meet. Go to Turkey see amazing historic sites and landscapes.

Referring to post of 14th February 2021, RSD Travel have now refunded the unused portion of the cancelled holiday to Cyprus, monies transferred into my account last week. I will book this holiday with the company in the future as it is my opinion that these holidays represent the best value available. There are many negative reviews on various sites regarding this company, but I travelled to Crete in December 2020, with my granddaughter, (see my review on Tripadvisor), okay you do have the carpet factory, the jewellery outlet and the leather clothing warehouse thrown in, but not as daunting as others report, and if it keeps the cost of the holiday low, well I will go along with that. On the plus side, the tours were excellent. My sister lives in Crete but we saw far more with RSD Travel than the many other times I have been there. So there you have it, I like this companyβs tours, best value in the travel market. Linda Hughes

We have been on 4 trips with RDS. Very well organized and good value 5* You should understand the payments required for ' extras' which are partly essential but fair enough. Some fellow travellers made a long winded issue of this!! A lot depends on the guides ours ranged from excellent 5* to an aggressive Turkish guide 1* who obviously did not enjoy his job. We asked to cancel a trip booked to Sri Lanka in the early days of Covid. This was done quickly 5* and will certainly encourage us to confidently book further trips when it is possible.

We were due to go to Cyprus back in April. They contacted us to ask us to postpone or they would refund. We postponed a year and they added a Second week at a five star hotel as a way of a thank you. They then contacted us at the beginning of December to state that they were cancelling all holidays up to spring 2021 and duly refunded our money. Have never been away with this company but they have been more than professional and we feel we can trust them. As soon as we can we will book again with RSD. Having heard how bad some travel companies have been I truly hope they can survive this ordeal as they are a pleasure to deal with

RSD cancelled our holiday to Dubai (because of the current Covid situation) on a Monday morning. I got an email the same day to confirm this, asking for my bank details for the refund. The refund was in my bank account the following day. SUPERB customer service, especially when set against another company (JustGo!) who are dragging a refund on for 6 months. Thank you RSD and I will bear this in mind when making further holiday bookings.

When suitable, we would love to rebook, and already have another hopeful booking with you for Crete in April, which I'm sure will either result in another great trip, or another speedy refund. We have travelled with RSD in the past to Dubai twice. The second trip was with an extended week. We have always had good service from RSD and were delighted with our trips to Dubai, excellent Hotels and Reps and First class couriers. We had booked to go to South Africa and Dubai this year but unfortunately we had to cancel due to COVID 19. We received our full deposit back within days of the cancellation. We would like to say a big Thankyou to RSD for their prompt action. We have booked to go to Croatia in 2021 and are hoping this trip can go ahead. Sandra &David Owen
