Right move is set up to sell financial services (like mortgage products) and promote estate agencies that pay for additional promotion. Registration is painful, taking 5 mins to wade through their security protocols

I would give minus stars if possible. Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill". I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland??? Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.

The referencing agents are a total catastrophe. Expect me to have 100 times monthly rent on my bank account… Completely unresponsive, I had to ask my employer 7 times (literally) to send the employer’s reference until they ‚found it‘ after I insisted. No responses at all if I don’t at least ask 2 times for everything. Worst experience in my life regarding renting and I will in the future refuse to work with them.

Rightmove has made a stressful time 10x more stressful. My partner and I are in the process of renting a flat, Rightmove keeps asking for the same references which have been sent multiple times. We’ve had to postpone all our plans, while waiting for references to be sorted. We are constantly on hold for about 30 minutes if not more and when our call is answered nothing is sorted, not to mention that I once asked to check an email that had been sent earlier in the day and was told “we don’t read emails after 3pm”. The team is unprofessional and unhelpful.

Reference agents acting like they’re investigators. It took me a week to sort out my referencing to rent £900 property....Incredibly unresposive, when they do decide to contact the customer service is just absurd. They made an issue because I uploaded my documents on the 2nd and the statement showed up to the 31st. So that referencing didnt get approved even though i had no spendings in those 2 DAYS. Unbelievable
