Right move is set up to sell financial services (like mortgage products) and promote estate agencies that pay for additional promotion. Registration is painful, taking 5 mins to wade through their security protocols

I would give minus stars if possible

I would give minus stars if possible. Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill". I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland??? Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.

If I could actually sign in

If I could actually sign in, I'd give a better score. Every time I type my password, the website says it's wrong. I try another password, and it sends me a one-time sign in via my email. But when I go to sign in with the correct password, it tells me it's wrong... and the first password is in fact correct. Why so many one time sign in emails? Just let me sign in with my password! Also I'd suggest just calling the estate agents up directly as I have never had a response with the email contact via rightmove. Half of them have no record of me requesting more info on properties

Rightmove is a xenophobic and racist…

Rightmove is a company which will wilfully discriminate against others based on nationality. As I found out today, they are targeting and blocking a Dutch company only because it has CEO who is Russian (neither the CEO nor the company are sanctioned). Therefore, there is no other reason for this disgusting behaviour but a pure racist hate. Avoid this awful company. (No tolerance for discrimination of any kind!)

Dealing with the referencing team of…

Dealing with the referencing team of Rightmove is absolutely a nightmare. 1) they won’t tell you what are the requirements first time when requesting the reference. 2) every time you call them, there are different people to pick up your calls, and they never direct you to the right person who handle the case. 3) no dedicated person to follow up your case. Anyone pickup the phone call will look into your case. They don’t act like a professional but just tell you the requirements bit by bit, and the documents submitted had never been consolidated. In addition, they seems incapable to do the minimum analysis. 4) impolite and rude when they talk to you over the phone. They just hung up the phone abruptly when they lost their patience without finishing the conversation. 5) they cancel your case right away without informing you and the agent, no reason provided and they block your number so that you cannot contact them. 6) they do not update the agent about the status and the progress even though all the documents required were submitted. To improve, it is suggested that the management team can review the procedures of doing the referencing, and how to communicate the requirements to the customers efficiently and effectively. To restructure the team and employ quality people. Maybe some training can be conducted to ensure your professional team can understand customers. The current team probably will make everyone suffer including the landlord, the agent and customer/tenant and needless to say, the reputation of Rightmove. As the result, the landlord cannot rent out their property to the tenant they preferred, the agent cannot get their commission, the tenant cannot get the property they like due to the substandard referencing team or procedures. In our case, the landlord advised to bypass the Rightmove referencing team, other ways were selected to get around instead.

Lack of competency

The current approach to assessing tenants' rental eligibility is woefully inadequate. Its superficial nature fails to consider crucial factors, such as analysing bank statements, resulting in questionable outcomes. This flawed methodology unjustly labeled me as an insolvent client, despite my commendable credit rating and sufficient income. Furthermore, their incompetence extended to misrepresenting my employer's information, falsely suggesting that the company had undergone liquidation. As a consequence, my application was rejected, and my reputation with the landlord was tarnished. To rectify this unjust perception, I was compelled to invest a significant amount of time manually verifying the facts with the landlord. This futile exercise proved to be nothing more than a colossal waste of time.

Needs to be made easier to use

Rightmove is a very good site however recently going onto the "for sale" or "to let sites" has changed and now it's a real pain, come on rightmove go back to the old set up, for regular users it was much quicker and easier.
