Review summary
Rightmove has mixed reviews from customers. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about communication and customer service.
Find the agents in your area and email them direct- much easier than Rightmove
Right move is set up to sell financial services (like mortgage products) and promote estate agencies that pay for additional promotion.
Registration is painful, taking 5 mins to wade through their security protocols
I would give minus stars if possible.
Our letting agent uses Rightmove referencing: So the Rightmove rep, Craig called my wife and within 30 seconds insisted on access to her bank account (?!). Then, when she declined and offered the usual payslips and statements, the rep said, "You want this property, get over it and swallow the pill".
I have never heard such unprofessional nonsense in my entire life. I am absolutely insensed and who in their right mind would give bank account access to a complete stranger in Ireland???
Who the hell do these people think they are? Does anyone trust 'Rightmove' with their personal financial data, you'd have to be insane.
I have used the Righmove app for years! Most nights I scroll through looking at various areas and properties.
The new website is unusable! Cannot filter, cannot go onto second or subsequent pages.
What have you done???
When looking for a property you can't you fault Rightmove - The reason I only give 3 stars is because We don't think you do an owner a favour with having dates it was put on the market, then the dates it was reduced and so on, especially in this difficult market. We have been nearly a year trying to sell our house and it certainly does not look for the owner when the date is shown - we think that to a buyer it looks as if there could be something wrong with it
So called up about a property went for a viewing to which i was happy with proceeded with everything they emailed me saying the offer for the rent was accepted then sent me this to which i provided all information and provided the holding deposit then right move asked for this refrence infomation which i provided, then after 2 weeks off them have me running around they ask for a copy off my work contract which i cant disclose due to NDA's so they refused me the property even though i provided everything else so i ask for my holding deposit back to which they are refusing saying it states it say it was not refundable which was never disclosed in the email so avoid using right move and coopers
Ok so I am very annoyed today as my son went to view a new apartment in cardiff. He arrived first in the queue and had a viewing : agreed to be the new tenant and had a date of October 1st.
The person who met my son was from Imperial Lettings ( who I presume rent space on Rightmove to advertise their properties ) He offered it as “unfurnished “ for £800 a month (1 bed apartment) this was agreed upon and the person showing my son around promptly said to another group that the property was now TAKEN & has been removed off the market!
Approx 2 hrs later my son (who also emailed Imperial when he got home to his current flat) and informed the Lettings company “Imperial Lettings” that he would wait for further contact for form filling and deposit etc , whilst starting to organise his current let by letting his current landlord that he would be vacating in 1 month from this date!
After a further hour my son was informed that someone else has offered £975 and that the company owner of Imperial Lettings has chosen this other tenant because they can get more money from this other agreement, leaving my son distraught after a long hard struggle to get back into work after the Covid years ! People like this little company Imperial Lettings need to honour agreements for potential tenants and not renege on honest potential clients & I would like to think that Rightmove needs to know about these dealings, I have tried to contact Rightmove but there doesn’t seem to be a contact number but if someone knows of one or Rightmove see this message please advise how this practice can be stopped from happening? It’s just not right and it’s just not fair to go back on a deal once agreed on a price!
Fantastic communication throughout… Mark and Dominique understood our urgency and were excellent… always replied to my calls and emails and really did help 👍👍… Thankyou.
