Car removal

My old car was removed without me having to take a day off work(as it was a day in the week). After following the email instructions, the job was done, swift & quick & I received the full amount that was quoted.

Easy to organise and good service. Only reason for 4 stars is they couldn’t collect for a couple weeks - otherwise good, simple and easy. Definitely recommend.

Prompt removal

Contacted them and they removed car same day, man was really nice.

Highly recommended!

I recently used this site and was pleasantly suprised by the prompt response to my request. It was very easy to get my vehicle removed, as all I was asked to do was put in a few details and they rang me back within 20 minutes to arrange a time. On the day, the driver called me to say that he'd be arriving in 30 minutes and asked if I was OK with this. He early and this suited me as I could then get on with my day. The driver was very professional and friendly and it was an absolute pleasure doing business with him. I would highly recommend you to all looking for car scrappage.

Good communication by email and phone, collected car within the time frame and the lorry driver was nice and polite, money paid into bank the next day. Very happy will use again.

Didn't show up, rude

Arranged to have a collection on Monday, they confirmed it would be between 8am-12pm. They told me their terms and conditions for example if I am late to meet for collection its Β£1 per minute and Β£100 to cancel. Fine because I never miss appointments like this. They said I would receive a call on Monday morning when the collection driver was 1 hour away. I took a half day off work to ensure I would be around for this 8-12 window and as the car was at my parents house 40 mins away I ensured to get there in time. I was there from 7am, no call yet. I wait until 12pm and still nothing. At this point I told removemycar via webchat that they have not shown up and wasted my time so I would like to cancel with them. I called a local scrapper who collected the car on Wednesday when they said they would. The following Wednesday I got a call from removemycar to ask if the collection had happened. I told them no, and that they had confirmed the cancellation. About 20 minutes later I get another call from them from the person I initially spoke to and I told him again that due to their failure to show up, I requested a cancellation. He said he was calling to arrange collection for tomorrow (10 days after original date) and I told him I had already had the vehicle scrapped and that I had it confirmed by removemycar that I had cancelled with them. He then asked who I spoke to and who confirmed the cancellation (I had a text confirmation and webchat confirmation) said "remember, I told you you would have to pay Β£100 to cancel". I told him I am not paying anything because they are the ones who effectively broke the a agreement failing to show up and wasting half my day. If anything I should be charging them Β£100. Eventually the call ended and they haven't tried to charge me anything which is good, but the whole experience was extremely frustrating and wasted my time and money.

Didn't turn up and zero communication

1pm-6pm slot booked today to pick up my car. Failed to turn up. No communication. I called their number twice and it trips over to an overseas phone handling service who did not have clue what I was talking about. UPDATE: I have now found another company to do this for me.

Don't do it ...

It has been a fiasco from the point I accepted the offer. I was told that collection of my car would happen on a Wednesday, they turned up on Monday. I handed over my car (big mistake) and then a driver turned up on Wednesday to collect my car (again) despite me saying that I no longer had the car. Payment was guaranteed to be processed within 24 hours and allowing for banks would be in my account by the Thursday, no sign of the money, no pending transactions - nothing! I have been told numerous times that I will be paid (I've called and emailed to chase A LOT) but seems no one wants to pay me! I cannot recommend the company and would say run for the hills! UPDATE - now the following week and still waiting for payment despite contacting the customer service team again!
