Remove My Car

Didn't show up, rude
Arranged to have a collection on Monday, they confirmed it would be between 8am-12pm. They told me their terms and conditions for example if I am late to meet for collection its £1 per minute and £100 to cancel. Fine because I never miss appointments like this. They said I would receive a call on Monday morning when the collection driver was 1 hour away. I took a half day off work to ensure I would be around for this 8-12 window and as the car was at my parents house 40 mins away I ensured to get there in time. I was there from 7am, no call yet. I wait until 12pm and still nothing. At this point I told removemycar via webchat that they have not shown up and wasted my time so I would like to cancel with them. I called a local scrapper who collected the car on Wednesday when they said they would. The following Wednesday I got a call from removemycar to ask if the collection had happened. I told them no, and that they had confirmed the cancellation. About 20 minutes later I get another call from them from the person I initially spoke to and I told him again that due to their failure to show up, I requested a cancellation. He said he was calling to arrange collection for tomorrow (10 days after original date) and I told him I had already had the vehicle scrapped and that I had it confirmed by removemycar that I had cancelled with them. He then asked who I spoke to and who confirmed the cancellation (I had a text confirmation and webchat confirmation) said "remember, I told you you would have to pay £100 to cancel". I told him I am not paying anything because they are the ones who effectively broke the a agreement failing to show up and wasting half my day. If anything I should be charging them £100. Eventually the call ended and they haven't tried to charge me anything which is good, but the whole experience was extremely frustrating and wasted my time and money.
