Got the job done quick

I recently used PLS to purchase a leasehold flat and was assigned Alex Spragg. They managed to get the transaction completed in six weeks. I found the app really useful in terms of tracking progress and reading reports and correspondence. Whilst my case handlers were not the most proactive in terms of communication (I had to call them for updates), when I did call/email I got a response to my query very quickly. I would use them again if I needed to.

Awful

Awful. The biggest set of dossers you've ever come across. Used these to purchase a property and it took an eternity. You won't receive any updates and when you want one you can't speak to your solicitor, you have to talk to 1 of their 57 assistants who give you the same response "it's on your file and we're looking into it". They will also forget to do things that you ask which will cost you money down the line. The app is terrible and not user friendly at all. Documents are a mess, duplicated, confusing and you won't get notifications. Avoid at all costs unless you want a very slow and painful purchase.

Friendly and efficient

My solicitor Matthew Howard has been fantastic from start to finish. Replies to emails quickly and explains things well. The whole conveyancing process has been fairly stress-free. I would definitely recommend him.

The Amazing Kerri thank you

Used PLS for a remortgage (selected by broker). They mistakenly requested ~£3k additional funds from mortgage provider leaving me in more debt than previous. Weren’t able to explain/clarify. They quoted different numbers on various statements throughout the process. Won’t use again

Friendly and efficient

It is about 40 years since we last sold a property and inevitably the communication process has changed from the face-to-face service we experienced back then. This was disconcerting, especially as we were given little guidance when trying to sell the property via online auction, which our agent had recommended to us. PLS is also a distance away but chosen because of their relationship with our estate agent which we thought should facilitate the process. Initially we had to chase the conveyancing solicitor handling our case; we later learned that she had left the company and that the work had passed to Matthew Howard. This coincided with the house sale being agreed via the usual manner and not via auction. Matthew has a friendly manner which has eased the stress of a long drawn out process. He has kept us well-informed of progress as it has happened and been able to answer our questions reassuringly. We now look forward to completion of the sale. Thanks Matthew!

Effective Services by Methew Howard

Initially, there was a noticeable lack of communication between the sales agents and the solicitor. Despite the sales agreement being reached on February 8th, I had not received any updates until March 10th, prompting me to reach out to the solicitor and the sales agent myself. However, once Matthew Howard took over my case, everything changed for the better. He managed to complete the sale in under three months, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and efficiency throughout the process. I am grateful for Matthew's dedicated handling of my case and will certainly consider using this service again in the future. Thank you, Matthew, for your outstanding work!
