I will never book through Omio again. When my Italo train from Venice to Milan was cancelled, I received no notification — not from Omio, not from Italo. I showed up at the station with a valid ticket for a non-existent train. When I contacted Omio, they gave me a generic brush-off, saying compensation is “Italo’s responsibility” and that I should go chase them myself. No acknowledgment of the complete communication failure on their part. Apparently, passing on crucial cancellation alerts to paying customers is not their job. What exactly is their job then, beyond taking a commission? They claim Italo sends out emails to all affected passengers, yet I got nothing. That either means Omio failed to pass my contact details to Italo or they’re simply shrugging off their duty of care. Either way, Omio acts as a middleman until something goes wrong — and then they vanish. Their customer service is a black hole of delayed, scripted, useless responses, always pushing responsibility elsewhere. No ownership. No accountability. Just a glorified booking widget. I’ve wasted hours trying to get basic compensation and answers. If you value your time, money, or peace of mind, book direct with the train operator. Omio adds absolutely nothing — except frustration.

Was able to change train timings by calling the customer support
Atrocious costumer service. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM AS THEY DO NOT GET BACK TO YOU. The online chat bot does not work and there is no other ways to contact the company. I would recommend you use this app to search for trains and view best times but then BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE OPERATOR. A train was cancelled by the operator and I still have not received a refund. Furthermore, I tried to rebook another train with OMIO and the money is PENDING and I have not received a new train ticket or this money back either!!!!
Jeg forstår slet ikke de mange gode anmeldelser. Jeg mistede muligheden for at ombooke min billet ved Stenaline, fordi jeg havde booket gennem Omio. Det gør jeg ikke igen.

Tenía billetes de Córdoba a Zaragoza con Iryo sacados a través de Omio para hoy 25 de enero y se ha suspendido la línea de AVE desde Andalucía debido al triste accidente ocurrido en Adamuz (Córdoba). Iryo me va a reembolsar el importe total de los 4 billetes (266 euros) pero Omio no me devuelve ni un euro (40 euros) por la gestión de la compra de los billetes. Creo que Omio debería tener en cuenta la situación ocurrida y hacer una excepción. Aunque su política en ese sentido sea otra, creo que no es justo que el único perjudicado sea solo el cliente y nada repercuta en Omio. Miguel Ángel Chueca

I bought a Eurostar ticket. I need to change the date (5 weeks ahead). It says I can change date for free in advance but I need to contact them. So I did. I was on chat for literally almost 3 hrs………. Still unresolved as it still needs sorting and me refunding. I’ve had to book my other ticket in the meantime as I can’t leave it pending to await them. No way of talking to someone ( unless you can telephone overseas), can’t find complaint info.

Misleading listing, fake route. I purchased a bus ticket via Omio for a Bucharest–Izmail route that later turned out not to exist at all. The ticket was issued, payment was taken, but the actual service could not be provided. After opening a PayPal dispute, Omio first denied responsibility, claiming they are “only an intermediary”. Later, in writing, they admitted a technical issue on their platform and confirmed that a full refund can be issued, but only if I closed the PayPal dispute first — which would remove buyer protection. PayPal initially denied the claim because Omio provided the ticket PDF as “proof of delivery”, even though the service itself never existed. This shows how misleading listings can still pass as “delivered”. The whole process was stressful, time-consuming, and required constant pressure from my side. I would strongly advise others to double-check routes and carriers and be very cautious with tickets sold via Omio for international bus routes.

Verschrikkelijk bedrijf! Nooit meer via hun boeken! Treinticket van Amersfoort naar Praag geboekt via Omio en deze werd door de maatschappij zelf geannuleerd. Omio heeft me niet geïnformeerd. Ik woon 2,5 uur van de opstap treinstation en vertrok midden in de nacht naar Amersfoort. Tijdens de reis keek ik met verbazing in de app dat mijn trein geannuleerd was. Ik ben weer naar huis gegaan en later een andere ticket via een andere maatschappij gekocht. Van de DB heb ik het geld van de ticket teruggekregen, maar niet van de Omio de servicekosten en boekingstarief. Dus probeer ik contact te zoeken met Omio om mijn €10,01 terug te krijgen. Na veel zoeken een telefoonnummer gevonden, maar als je belt krijg je te horen dat ze helaas OP DIT MOMENT gesloten zijn. Ik heb inmiddels 30 keer gebeld.....Dan via de app..... daar krijg je een chatbox en kom je in een cirkeltje en na heel lang volhouden ( 1/2 uur) wordt gezegd dat je dan een mens aan de chat krijgt, nou vergeet het maar....die zegt hallo en dat ze heel druk bezig zijn en gooit je gewoon uit! Ik vind het een zeer slechte service, voor mij maar €10,- maar het was niet anders als het om meer geld ging.....voor mij nooit meer Omio!
Podría haberle dado 5 estrellas. Pero no lo hice porque se me hizo súper difícil hacer mí reclamo desde la app. Una vez q me atendieron fue súper rápido y satisfactorio.
