I wouldn’t recommend this centre in Stockley Park for families with children or for anyone considering buying a membership for family use. The soft play area has been broken for several months now, and unfortunately, there are no plans to repair it. There are also very few classes available for children, which is quite disappointing. Additionally, facilities like the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi are not accessible to anyone under 16, which limits the experience for families. One of the toilet doors has been broken for a long time and still hasn’t been fixed. The cleanliness of the changing rooms is also not up to standard.

Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed – Unauthorised Payment After Cancellation I cancelled my membership at Nuffield Health Gym Chigwell and received an official confirmation email stating that my final payment would be on 1st July. Despite this, they still charged my account after the cancellation date. This is completely unacceptable and feels like unauthorised billing. I now have to go through the hassle of disputing the payment and trying to get my money back – even though I have clear written confirmation that my membership had ended. If this is how they handle cancellations, I would strongly advise others to think twice before joining. A gym should be professional and trustworthy, not take money from ex-members without permission. Extremely disappointed with how this has been handled.

I lost 2 stone and gained mobility!

Take everything in… I lost 2 stone of weight by listening to the booklet and taking the information in, would highly recommend, Ellis was fantastic!

Aaron Fowle is my PT and he’s fantastic…

Aaron Fowle is my PT and he’s fantastic - I had been coming to this gym for 3 years and love all the classes and the instructors. I switched to PT when zi decided to do hyrox and saw a lot of change in muscular mass and energy levels. Aaron is a real asset to Nuffield and fitness in general 💪

Nuffield Didsbury

Nuffield Didsbury - Unfortunately, I have to comment on the lack of professionalism and lack of consistency with children’s swimming lessons. Our daughter is quite nervous about putting her head under the water, so we find it quite important having consistency of swimming instructor and teaching styles. With this in mind - on not one, but two occasions - the instructor has been changed without prior communication. Not as a one off, but for many weeks or changed completely. This isn’t great, as we feel that it’s helpful to prepare our daughter for any changes in instructor, not just turn up to another teacher with whom she’s unfamiliar with no warning. This is just common courtesy in my opinion to let parents know and none of the parents (including us) were aware. Not only this, the pool closed after our daughter’s first 12 lessons for almost two months. Again, we had little warning that this was coming. Presumably, Nuffield Didsbury had know that this was coming for some time but we were given limited notice and when notice was provided, I had recently bought another package of 12 lessons. I would not have done this if I had known there was going to be such a long break. There’s also a no mobile phones policy in the pool area, however, I noticed that one swimming instructor was scrolling through Instagram, yet I was advised that they can have their phones to look through swim schedules. It’s one rule for one and one for another. When provided feedback about the above issues, the dual site manager was only really interested in pointing out price discrepancies and when my own personal membership ended - with no apology whatsoever. For clarity, I’ve bought swimming lessons in blocks firstly at the desk for £195 and then paid whatever price it has told me to on the swim school app. This is an issue with how Nuffield Didsbury had registered my daughter and not my own. Any costs paid are out of my control and an administration error. To also note - when I ended my own membership, I was quite poorly and one of my grandparents had cancer and I had to take on caring responsibilities, otherwise, I would have stayed a member. As a small positive, I would like to say that Andy is a fantastic instructor. The children really listen to him and you can tell that he’s really liked and respected by the children. His return is the only reason why we are sticking out with the lessons until our daughter is able to swim.

Nuffield PT: Anton ain't no Joke

Nuffield Wimbledon Broadway has a personal trainer like no other...his name is Anton. He is 100% beast and 0%human! I knew he was the man for job and he has not disappointed. Training on days I did not want to, working out with weights that I did not want to do and attending his once a week Gladiator class for a cricit class like no other. I salute Mr A he pushed me/encouraged/played hot music in class and allowed my partying life to get the result that today I dropped a stone since 23 May 2025. My thanks to him. I am currently taking bookings for dinner dates or trips to carribbean to show off my Serena Williams body ha ha

Romford branch Pain joint program with Adrian Paval

I go to Nuffield health Romford, and I in the Pain joint program running for those with health issues. I was introduced to this via my social prescriber. I have been going for 3 weeks, and have a wonderful Rehabilitation specialist Adrian Paval, who works closely within the group, with different ailments, Adrian is helping me gain strength and confidence, with physical activities, as well as with the different machines in the gym, which in turn, is helping significantly, with my health, also I should add, losing weight on top is a plus!!! Absolutely would not recommend

Absolutely would not recommend. Will be searching for a better more professional hospital for the rest of my treatment. One who is interested in locking away controlled drugs, not breaching data protection and interested in safeguarding patients when they have fallen out of bed. Nuffield Health are absolutely no where near the standard of health care provider I would trust with my health. I could hear the nurses in the corridor speaking about me and the other patients in the hospital. Very unimpressed.

Unable to get notes sent and received second invoice from another company.

Appointment in Cardiff Bay hospital in February, took 9 weeks and numerous phone calls, emails and a formal complaint to get my consultation notes sent to myself and GP. They blamed new computer systems. Now in July I receive an email from a third party “mediserve” requesting payment for the consultation. Paid in full on site in February. Have since rang the secretary of consultant and emailed customer relations at Nuffield and have received no response to this new invoice.

I went to Nuffield Health Covent Garden

I visited the Nuffield Health Covent Garden - not being a fan of the gym, I was so apprehensive about going, and had already found excuses not to go! But as soon as I arrived and was greeted by Kieran Usher and his positive attitude, encouragement, and knowledge- I left excited for my next session
