Marsh and Parsons, Tooting - a really good experience!

I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other. Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.

I never leave reviews but this was bad

I never leave reviews, but our eExperience was so bad I feel it necessary. The agent who showed us around brackets (Michael, Northcote Road) was completely unprofessional, time wasting and careless. To make things worse they have non-stop called me, emailed me and texted me since this- trying to get me to rent other properties from them. I have told them so many times now that I’m not interested and have even blocked their number. They managed to get round this by messaging me on mobile numbers.

If I could give -5 Stars I would !

A dreadful agency to work with ! We visited a property in Kensal on 12 Kilburn Lane with my 6 month old daughter and wife. Not even the rats would wany to live there. The property was on offer at far to high a price and the condition of the flat was dire and smelled of an ashtray not to mention the agent was 10 minutes late for her own viewing. It should have been professionally cleaned even before being viewed. Also we visited a flat with another agency on the same day only to find out that this estate agency already pinched it by showing it one hour prior to us on th same day to one of there potential customers. When getting a courtesy call from one of the staff I commented on the above an how I was still looking for property. She seemed very upset when I expressed my opinion on how all agencies do not communicate to one another and how they are happy to let you view a flat knowing that another agency in turn might have already let it out ! (which is when the agent put the phone down on me). This type of attitude will not flow in this industry especially during these time ! I would avoid them at all costs !

Utterly unrealiable and incompetent

Marsh & Parsons are utterly incompetent and unreliable. Have had so many issues with their handling of a rental property - from getting almost ALL the furniture orders wrong (which they only agreed to correct after we threatened legal action) to leaving a malfunctioning boiler and shower (the only shower in the property) unresolved for over 3 months, during a global pandemic. It’s exhausting dealing with them, everything is more convoluted than necessary. Perhaps they feel the need to prevaricate, and obfuscate to prove their utility. Awful experience, would strongly advise avoiding dealing with them altogether. Would never trust my purchase, sale or rental of a property with them.

Stay away from Marsh & Parsons - By far the rudest agents I worked with

Stay away from M&P. We sold our flat with William Hughes-Ward at M&P Chelsea. He could not have been more rude. I would have pulled out but the owner my mother did not want to as we had got to the last round. They do NOT care about people. I then on numerous occassions wrote to HQ and received NO response. They are the ONE agency I will never work with to rent out my properties again in London.

We recently purchased a property…

We recently purchased a property through Marsh and Parsons Willseden Green. We dealt with an agent called Henry who was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole process! Initially Henry showed us a few different properties to try and get a feel for what we wanted, we found him to be very knowledgeable about all the properties and when he wasn't sure about something, would get back to us promptly with the information. We always felt like Henry would show us properties that we would actually be interested in, not just anything in our price range. We had obviously seen properties through other estate agents, but Henry was by far, the best of the bunch and personable. Even when we had to take a break because of lockdown Henry was patient, didn't bombard us with calls and emails and actually contacted us back when we said he should! We would thoroughly recommend him and will be contacting Marsh and Parsons again when we decide to sell.

Worst Experience

After a smooth renting process, I have received the worst kind of property support from M&P. We received the house in the worst condition - dirty floors, filthy appliances that don't work, stuff left behind by previous tenants, and dirty windows. Our managing agent was out of office during our move-in and has not helped us one bit to resolve any issues. We are constantly following up and trying to make this house habitable for us to move-in but receiving no support in return. I will never live in a property managed by M&P again.

The worst

They are the worst. Completely unprofessional, ruining our sale and subsequently sold our details to telemarketers. Now reported for infraction of GDPR rights

Terrible service

We used Marsh and Parsons in Tooting to rent out our flat and they have been terrible from beginning to the end. They have no knowledge of the industry and the communication is terrible. We will never use them again to let out our property. We did purchased our house through them and it was totally a difference experience and were highly professional.
