Marsh and Parsons, Tooting - a really good experience!

I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other. Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.

Embarked on a new build conversion…

Embarked on a new build conversion purchased with M&P Willesden green. The list of errors is sizable, ultimately ending with a non-purchase. If the agent had been truthful from the start it would have saved time and money.

Avoid at all costs!!!

If I could give -10 I would. 1 star is too rich for them. Rude, irresponsible, harassing, liars! One of their agents once pretended to be a viewer and came to my home hiding her identity and took photos of my flat! Sadly that's not only thing they did during the viewings at the end of my tenancy. They harassed me that I didn't help them market the property and that I should open all windows and not speak to viewers when I ask me about my experience and hide everything that can put the tenants off during the viewings!!! They should absolutely be shut down! They also engage in misinterpreting the law and try to trick you into believing you have less rights than you actually do! I believe that there should be intervention into their business and they should be subsequently shut down.

M&P seem totally unable/unwilling to…

M&P seem totally unable/unwilling to effect property management/maintenance. Their responses seem to be limited to tick-boxing, nothing happens/progresses. M&P are supposedly Property Managers for an expensive house we began renting at Christmas.

I've been burnt in the past from estate…

I've been burnt in the past from estate agencies promising the world and instead just causing stress however I've felt marsh and parsons have been transparent with whats going on in the market and tenant options. So far so good.

Worst letting agency ever

Worst letting agency I have ever worked with. Took months to ever fix anything, always used contractors that would fight each other (including individual staff members) over who made what fault on what appliance years ago, always leading to us waiting with broken stuff. Terrible customer service. Avoid at all costs. Cannot more strongly advise against working with these people.

Avoid at all costs

We have been dealing with Marsh & Parsons as renters for almost two years now and they are absolutely terrible. There is no urgency for any request even if it is something important such as the heating being broken for days, they seem completely incompetent at dealing with anything and have horrible communication. Our landlords are clearly frustrated with them but I'm sure it is a hassle to change. Avoid!!!!

Experience with Marsh & Parsons

Representing very poorly managed properties with amateur landlords and lying about the landlords standards to get the Deal done. First sign of an issue and the standard response - sorry nothing we can do as you already moved in or we don’t manage the property. Extremely unprofessional. First property had a serious mice infestation in the building which the agent was well aware of and the second had damp and mould. Very low standard even for a real estate agent in London.
