Marsh and Parsons, Tooting - a really good experience!

I recently used the Tooting Bec branch of Marsh and Parson to sell my property and cannot speak highly enough of their Director, Angelo Mulholland. Angelo and Thomas Syms were reliable and honest in their dealings with me, they are both highly experienced agents who know the wider housing market and the local market well and understand the impact of the change in one on the other. Connor Marney, managed the on-the-ground marketing and sale of my property, an absolute star! Calm and reliable, unfailingly polite and hard working I felt really fortunate having Connor as part of my sales team. A big thank you to M&P, I have no hesitation in recommending you!

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a…

I worked with Marsh and Parsons to do a short-term lease. My agent rushed me to send over full funds (deposit and entirety of rent) immediately to secure the flat, warning me that I might not get the place otherwise, so I did. He wrote to confirm that I got the place. A month later, he said that I actually did not get the place as apparently the landlord was no longer renting it out, despite the contract and confirmation. He “generously” — that’s sarcasm — offered to refund the money. When he sent it back, it was short $1k. He refused to do anything else about it. Not only did he fail to fulfill contract obligations and screw me over that way, he also caused me financial loss for the privilege.

Avoid at all costs if you are prospective tenants

The agency favored the landlord (with whom they have continuous commercial relationships) throughout the end of tenancy process leading to us paying unjustified out of accordance costs such as check out report and administrative fees that should not have been covered by us. In collusion with the landlord, they accepted to modify the check out report produced by an independent inspector (Green Kite) in the absence of the parties to our detriment in view of allowing the landlord to proceed with unfair deductions to our deposit. The agency never interceded with the landlord and every margin call were all made to the landlord's benefit. Sam Canning Birtles who was an excellent employee of the agency and found the property for us left for a competitor a few months ago. We truly recommend, to the extent possible, to avoid this agency for any lettings if your are prospective tenants. We are contemplating to sue the agency as soon as the deposit adjudication process will be completed by TDS.

Great service from a Tenancy Manager

Recently, the Tenancy Manager Daniel Leung, has worked on a few change of tenancies for my rental property. He has been excellent! Super attentive and efficient, and good attention to details. He has made the process really seamless for my tenants and me. He has been an excellent client facing representative for Marsh & Parsons, and I will continue using them for sure! Horrible Experience – Negligent and Unresponsive

I have had nothing but issues since moving into a property managed by Marsh & Parsons. The level of negligence and lack of care is appalling. First, the keys to our flat also open the neighboring flat’s door, and vice versa. This is a serious security breach, and had existed for over 5 years (no one else just happened to notice). The property itself is in terrible condition. The carpets are old, dirty, and infested with moths. When we moved in, we were horrified to find loads of wee stains on the carpets, making the place feel unhygienic and unpleasant. We also had to endure two weeks of disruption when the ceiling had to be replaced, during which we couldn’t enjoy the property normally. To make matters worse, the fire alarms in the property were out of date, leading to the fire brigade being called out. Marsh & Parsons’ response? They told us to call their contractor, who then said it wasn’t their job. When we reached out to the agents, we were informed they were all on holiday and couldn’t help. We were left with a blaring fire alarm and no support from the people responsible for managing the property. Additionally, when we moved in, both beds were missing. While this wasn’t entirely their fault, the agent failed to notice that one of the beds was missing during the inspection. As a result, we were forced to sleep on the floor for the night. This level of service is unacceptable. Marsh & Parsons is unprofessional, unresponsive, and negligent. I would strongly advise anyone considering using their services to look elsewhere.

My partner and I were initially worried that the whole process would be a daunting task but our tenancy manager Kisha really offered some outsanding service.
