I booked a free course with Flexible Learning by mistake, realising almost immediately that it wasn’t the right level for me. I contacted them the very next day to cancel — before accessing any materials or participating in anything — only to be told I’d be charged a £125 “admin fee” to cancel. While I understand there was a clause about this fee for non-completion, it’s completely unreasonable to enforce it when the course was clearly booked in error and cancellation was requested promptly. I didn’t benefit from the course in any way, and yet they’re still demanding payment. Worse still, the course was advertised as free, but this cancellation charge wasn’t made clear upfront. It feels misleading and unfair — and their refusal to show any flexibility or understanding shows a complete lack of customer care. I would not recommend Flexible Learning to anyone based on this experience. If you make an honest mistake, don’t expect any compassion — just a bill.
My tutor was amazing, patient and knew how to teach! my mental health was not grate when I started but my manager and tutor was amazing and so supportive, I finished level 2 hair dressing and am now onto level 3 and honestly loving it. Definitely recommend! well definitely recommend the camden branch all tutors are amazing kind and patient but in a constructive way. Had the best experience in level 2 hairdressing.

Fantastic support from my tutor and the customer service/learner support teams, they really showed genuine care. Really interesting and informative course that challenges you and develops your knowledge in a guided and structured way. I am definitely going to be signing up for another course. Thank you

I haven't actually enrolled yet, but my experience so far has been pretty good. Catherine Whitehead has answered the many and various questions i've thrown at her in a polite, cheery, professional and informative manner and responds to messages promptly. I was feeling pretty anxious about taking a course, but thanks to her I am now I'm feeling fairly confident about enrolling.

Up until December 2024, the company I work for partnered with Learning Curve to provide staff with Level 3 AET qualifications. Initially, this arrangement appeared promising, particularly as the course had transitioned to online delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic—a reasonable adaptation given the circumstances. I began the course in June 2023 alongside many of my colleagues, unaware of prior issues my employer had encountered with Learning Curve. At first, the course content was well-structured, and the instructor was professional and supportive. I took the program seriously, as completing the qualification was essential for a promotion. However, significant issues arose during the final stages of the course. Despite being initially told that our practical exam would be completed online with colleagues, we were suddenly informed—in the penultimate lesson—that we would need to deliver our lessons in a physical classroom setting. This abrupt change created considerable logistical challenges. For instance, I live in the south of the country, and no suitable location was arranged for me to complete the required assessment. Dates were proposed and then postponed, and the responsibility of resolving the situation seemed to fall back on the learners. The lack of clear planning and communication was frustrating and unprofessional. A year later, after much back and forth, I was finally allowed to complete my final lesson online, as originally advertised. By this point, the delays and lack of organisation had already cost me the promotion I was pursuing, as the qualification was required for the role. Over the course of that year, I exchanged hundreds of emails trying to resolve issues and complete the course. After completing my practical exam, I was asked to resubmit work I had already submitted. Despite repeatedly providing the requested materials, the case was passed between different staff members, requiring me to re-explain the situation each time. This happened multiple times, with no resolution. Access to my online account had expired per their policies, but the team insisted I use it to upload documents, showing a clear lack of understanding of their own procedures. Ultimately, my company decided to sever ties with Learning Curve due to the consistent failings and lack of accountability. While Learning Curve promised to rectify the situation for affected learners, it is now 2025, and I still have not received my certificate. Despite submitting all required work multiple times, the company has stopped responding to me entirely. This experience not only affected me but also many of my colleagues, all of whom faced similar challenges. My employer has reported Learning Curve’s failures to relevant authorities and confirmed that no further contracts will be awarded to them. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and effective communication has left a lasting negative impression. Learning Curve’s inability to deliver a service they were paid to provide—particularly in a sector as critical as education and training—raises serious concerns about their competency and reliability. I cannot recommend them based on this experience.

They will make the course impossible to pass, move the goal post and not accept your answers even though they are correct - all so you cancel and have to pay the cancellation fee! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have all the proof to back up my review should anyone want to see it. Example: (Cyber security course). The actual question: "List the types of vulnerabilities for each organisation type" In my feedback she said "who might be performing these attacks, why might they be performing them" Who and why are not a part of the question? This was marked as a fail as I didn't provide information that was not even part of the question!

It’s not worth if you are not receiving the funding for it. First things first- I have Never had a hard copy learners book, or been given any physical material from them, also when asked for it - I was sent a digital file to my email address and told to print it myself. All I was given is log in details. Not a single call, no aftercare, zero. Never had any face to face with the tutor, neither anyone called me throughout the course or provided proper detailed feedback apart from “resubmit the answer”, so you kind of left there to go and do it all by yourself. The course is very intense and you quickly go through it, so a lot of time has to be dedicated for this as well as the work has to be done individually all by yourself, as no one is there for you. All you get is the date by when you have to submit like 50 question assignment, so you just have go through virtual material, learn it and do the assignment. I am under impression that they make it all so hard and quick, that you fail, give up and pay them £125 to quit. I would not undertake any courses via this company.
