From my experience, Kuhl has nice products, however, I probably will never buy online from them again. They are clear that returns are customer-paid, but given so many other companies cover shipping, and you can't return Kuhl products to stores like REI that carry the brand, I probably won't ever order online again. I recently ordered shorts that look exactly like a pair I own and love, so I thought it was low risk -- but the fit is totally different and the color isn't like the image online, so I have to do the return for $7.50. I won't repeat that mistake.
Very poor, poor customer service. An item was defective and they made me pay to return it. I had to battle with customer service multiple times for them to take responsibility. I will never shop for Kuhl products again. Every time I contacted them, they didn’t know what I was talking about and never returned calls/ emails when they stated they would. :(
I ordered 4 trousers off the website, paid, got the tracking number etc. - lots of updates from the tracking service, with the final update telling me that the package has been delivered. Unfortunately I did not receive the package at all. I can't get any feedback to any query on the courier company used - other than a generic reply saying that I need to contact the seller, which is proving impossible..

My new Kuhl travel pants are marvelous! They’re comfortable and will make my warm-weather traveling so much more enjoyable. I also really appreciate the customer service. Even though it’s the Memorial Day weekend, they were able to get my order through very quickly. They have a generous return policy and I would definitely buy from Kuhl again.

Kuhl manufactures some of the best technical pants around. I have been a loyal customer for over a decade and enjoy their durable products. They also have great customer support, all email communications are answered and they really go the extra mile in making things right. Some of their other products can use a little more fine-tuning, like their shirts and jackets. Also, their products are not the cheapest. But if you are looking for quality and or want to support a company that really cares about it’s customers, Kuhl is a reputable brand.

I mailed my coat of $329 back to the company after it keeps getting holes in pockets, the feathers keep coming out, the threads keep coming apart, too. When the box arrived, Kuhl customer service said it was untouched from the United States Postal Service, and also that my coat was no longer in the bag inside my box with the paperwork for the return warranty for them to send me back my new one. I am now without a winter coat. They are saying they did not or someone from the company did not take it. Saying it must of been the USPS. I will never do business with them. And, I am encouraging others to not as well. Bad experience and not willing to help me out. I’m now without out of an expensive coat and they don’t seem to care.

I bought my favorite jacket (about $250) from them a few years ago, it has held up great. I needed a heavier jacket and decided to go with them. Paid $350 for what I expected to be a quality winter jacket. Upon arrival I was immediately unimpressed with the quality of the stitching and material, as well as the fit. 2 months later, I bent down to pick something up (this jacket is slightly too big for me) and the stitching ripped under the armpit. I have contacted support about this and they said it "looks repairable" I would rather have my $350 back. 1 star

I struggled to get the correct size. I have been a size 10 for over 50 years and had to return your 10 for a 12, then for a 14, which is a size I've never worn. I persisted because they seemed to be a quality brand. I took them on a trip to Vietnam and was immediately unhappy with them. They became stretched out and baggy. Very uncomfortable in the warm weather and they looked incredibly frumpy. After washing, they were full of wrinkles and would need to be ironed to look decent. I don’t expect to have to iron a pair of pants for hiking wear. I was counting on a wash and wear situation while trekking in Northern Vietnam. This is something I could not have discovered until I actually wore them. I had a similar issue with a pair of shorts from LL Bean and they cheerfully took them back and refunded me! This gives me confidence to buy a product from them and know that if I am not satisfied, my money isn’t wasted! I will definitely go back to a trusted company like LL Bean next time and will caution others about quality and poor service.
